Anyone can buy into that if they want but it seems too much of a generalization for me. Aces generally have the advantage vs hitters, but I prefer to look at matchups. Fantasy baseball is about looking into matchups. I do like seeing Trout struggle vs everyone though, since he's a division opponent.
Yeah, it seems like some of our hitters have had a lot of success against Felix Hernandez and Cliff Lee over the years. It would have been a mistake to sit some of our hitters when facing those two.

I think I always started David Murphy vs Felix, even when I had a top #10 hitter vs an ace! I'm still learning though, I could be wrong

Beltre has always given Hernandez fits. Andrus too if I recall.

I like everything about Perez. Looking for some good pitching this season. His attitude indicates he too is expecting good things

Ya know, that glitz last season with what I'll call "a loss of confidence" I think is the outlier of this young man, and his future sure looks bright to me. He's got all the tools/pitches to make it happen in a big way.

Seems very level headed, focused and the sky-is-the-limit.

He compares Gallo to Perez before Martin got over a big hump. Thinking when Perez finally learned to pitch out if a jam.

pretty sure Rua went 4-4 in that one too
I still think it would take a series of unlikely events for Rua to get any consistent playing time here no matter what kind of spring he has.

I would agree, and as much as I like him, I think he is auditioning for other teams possibly. I hope he has a great ST, and has a good year in RR, in the event he comes up and gets playing time because of injury. I don't want to see him stuck on the bench all year not getting to play everyday

Then again, we are used to a series of unlikely events happening to this team. lol

One thing he does have going for him is the ability to play several different positions. An early injury to Mitch might be his best chance at seeing regular playing time. We all know Mitch has been hurt before.

If he stays with the organization all year I wouldn't mind seeing both him and Cordell stick with the team as reserves in 2017.

Jared Sandler's Top 5 Breakout Candidates for 2016

5. Andrew Faulkner: Youngster will establish himself as the team’s go-to lefty specialist, allowing Jake Diekman to be used in a versatile capacityicon1.png.

4. Nomar Mazara: His ability and approach has everyone raving about his freakishly high ceiling.

3. Keone Kela: His dominant stuff now comes with a year of experience for a guy who soaks up informationicon1.png like a sponge.

2. Martin Perez: Nearly two years removed from TJ, this is his year to put it all together.

1. Rougned Odor: Unique talent mixed with fierce intensity will make him a top 5 2B at year’s end.
