Wanted to buy this..... Until I found out you couldn't watch the games live. Hearing the other teams announcers was appealing. Would've been nice to hear a different crew every 3 days. Oh well. Someone know of any possible way to watch live rangers on the iPad?

Can't help ya on this one. I've got cable and really enjoy it.

But, I like you, wouldn't mind hearing some other announcers. It'll be another season of listening as long as I can, then switching over to the radio and Mr Nadel.

Rangers' Yu Darvish: Throws breaking pitches in bullpen session

Darvish (elbow) mixed in breaking balls for the first time during his scheduled bullpen session Friday, the Rangers' web site reports.

Darvish continues to progress as scheduled, perhaps even a little ahead of schedule, but there's been no change to his anticipated return date, which is being targeted for mid-May.

Rangers' Justin Ruggiano: Auditioning for first base platoon role
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Justin Ruggiano will play first base for the first time in his professional career Sunday in the Texas Rangers ' spring training game against the White Sox, Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News reports.

He has played the outfield for his entire career, but with the signing of Ian Desmond, Ruggiano would not be of much use to the Rangers in that capacity as things currently stand. Only $500,000 of his $1.65 million salary is guaranteed, so if Ruggiano does not prove himself capable at first base, he would likely be left off the Opening Day roster. He has a career .856 OPS against lefties while Mitch Moreland only has a .650 OPS against southpaws for his career, so they could form a dynamic duo at first base for Texas in 2016.

Not so sure he would be left off the roster, still need a capable backup OF, with Hamilton out, could fill in at CF as well I believe

With the understood caveat of being only 4 games into ST, I'm certainly enjoying how the team is looking.

Yes 4 games in, but I hope the good pitching and run scoring continues into the reg season.

A position I must admit (backup CF) is a little concerning to me. As much as I really am a fan of DeShields, I fear he has a chance of regressing from 2015. After all, what he did was closer to amazing than disappointing.

Hard not too.

I went through our lineup today, and I've got 24 guys which I expected/think will make the roster. But, the last spot is going to be interesting. And to make things even better, guys like Mazara/Profar and Rua can make things "potentially" really interesting.

Seeing some nice things on the box score today.

Brinson leading off with run, a walk and a hit in 2 AB.

Profar with a RBI, run, walk, and a hit in 2 AB

Moreland with 3 RBI including a double that broke the game open.

Gallo is still aggravating me though. He did take a walk today.

Three takeaways: Mitch Moreland drives in three runs and Joey Gallo's struggles continue as Rangers edge Giants | SportsDay

Still a candidate: Right-hander Chi Chi Gonzalez is the early line favorite to the win the fifth starter spot, but right-hander Nick Martinez will give him competition. Martinez worked both sides of the plate with the fastball in two scoreless innings, which included five ground-ball outs. "Those two guys are right in the mix," manager Jeff Banister said. "Both of them have thrown the ball well and seem to be at the height of competing to this point."

Anyone can buy into that if they want but it seems too much of a generalization for me. Aces generally have the advantage vs hitters, but I prefer to look at matchups. Fantasy baseball is about looking into matchups. I do like seeing Trout struggle vs everyone though, since he's a division opponent.
