The 10th pick for one year of Durant is a steal
Picks, especially not top 5 are crapshoots. It's not bad but then you are paying Green $36M a year. I would take the Miami offer over that one especially if they include Ware.

I would not do that if I am PHX

what is the rest of the salary? It needs more

Jock
Holiday
Whitemore

I'm not even sure that gets them there.

I think it hardcaps them at the first apron which could be tough after this deal.

They are allow this clown to speak on national tv. Embarrassing. So Kobe and Steph got no credit for a couple of their titles? lol

It’s criminal if Ware isn’t in the deal to begin with

I'm holding firm if I'm Miami and not including Ware. Their package without him is actually the better package because its the only one that can get the Suns out of repeater tax hell. Duncan Robinson's deal is partially guaranteed. If they waive him, they can drop under the 2nd apron. Any other deal for Durant (Minny, SA, Houston), they are still stuck on the 2nd apron and will need to dump players elsewhere to get under. If they stay in the 2nd apron this season, that'll be 3 straight years in it and the penalties are severe. Miami needs to use that leverage to their advantage. They have the only rumored deal on the table that can actually give the Suns some breathing room. Keep Ware out, maybe throw in another draft pick if needed, but hold firm.

No it doesn’t. Baseball is the only sport left where fan support actually translates to building a good club.
True....but it's a spend money to make money kind of thing. More likely the fans will come if ownership shows they have a will to win (and, of course, follows through and is at least competitive).

Curious what you meant by "no it doesn't" in your reply to shane. Meaning not it isn't needed (a cap)?

Whatever they guarantee is what goes out in the trade and means Pho can't save it

That only helps to an extent but small market is small market. Cleveland had great support and competed at high level for long time being a small market team but they are a very rare case. Most that do compete it's is for a short time and it is still extremely rare to see a small market team actually WIN it all.
The floor comes in for the cheap owners and I completely agree that needs to be put into place but a ceiling and floor is the right move for the sport long-term.

Miami would be stupid to include Ware. If they don't get KD it's not the end of the world, he is still a great player but he is definitely aging. I believe they can still get him without Ware.

Correct. I like no cap. I don’t care if people in Florida who don’t give a fuck win championships so they can have parades in stadium parking lots like the Buccaneers.

Guardians owner should be shot. That organization and fanbase deserves so much more. A salary cap throws dopes like him a lifeline.

Given the choice I'd like to see a cap (like every other major sport) but just a floor would be nice.
