Take any division and remove the division champion and see how often the rest are close to .500 outside of it.
When you guys decide to get some professional help and deal with your Peyton Manning complexes, let me know and we can try again to have a serious discussion. Until then, you're embarrassing yourselves and it's painful to witness.
Nothing to really say. Denver has more talent, NE has the better QB coach combo.
Not much to do but sit back and enjoy the game. The Super Bowl champion will come out of the AFC.
I have finally seen my ways and come to my senses. Peyton is the Goat and its not even close. I also did the same with basketball, used to think MJ but when I remember that The Mailman has score more points than him he is better. Obviously Kareem fighting Bruce Lee Jabber is the Goat

AFC West record against other AFC teams
2013: 14 - 10
2012: 9 - 15
2011: 11-13
2010: 10 - 14
'nuff said.
sonny, I like you and find it disappointing that you're letting this obsessive hatred of Peyton get the best of you. You still get more respect than Briz but that is in jeopardy. You're better than this.

Let's take the Broncos out of this equation to see what kind of juggernauts they've been unfairly stacked up against:
2013: 10 - 8
2012: 5 - 13 (LOL)
2011: 8 - 10
2010: 8 - 10
AFC East > AFC West
How about the AFC North?
AFC North record outside of division vs. AFC
2013 (minus Bengals) 6-12
2012 (minus Ravens): 9-9
2011 (minus Ravens): 12-6
2010 (minus Steelers): 8-10
They really sucked against the AFC this year, that's for sure. Not much different from the AFC East to be fair. However, until this year at least two teams in the division have finished with winning records, and once 3 did it.
Nice straw man argument you've set up there. No one has claimed the AFC West has been any good. In fact, until this season it's sucked for quite awhile. Nothing about that changes the fact that the AFC East hasn't had a good team other than the Patriots for 3 seasons now. The division is down. That is a fact.
Question: Why are you so interested in this thread? Just an honest answer will suffice.
Because I think it's pretty stupid to claim the AFC East hasn't been very good the last 3 years. Patriots fans are taking it like a slight, but it's really not. No one is saying they suck, just the division does.
Plus I've got time to kill at work and I like a good argument. That honest enough for you?
Because there wasn't a team consistently winning most of the division games. This is why looking at total record to determine strength of a division ignoring a certain team is flawed. If that team consistently wins their division games, that's two games each team has to make up to be over .500. If you keep looking around, I think you'll find most divisions minus the division champ trend to a little below .500 outside of the division. Consistently close to .500 is about average, not the sign of a weak division.
Being from Disney, I felt the need to do thisSo I'll start it off:
LOL at Brady. Can't win without Spygate. What a bum.
