This seems pretty unlikely since Peyton has a higher career passer rating than Brady.

They are separated by .08%. So nothing to argue over.

Like noted above Manning is second with 96.8 and Brady at 96.0 but when you take in account that Manning has played in about 75 more dome games, you could see how it works out

Lol, I was only pointing out that what you said was impossible. That said, Peyton's passer rating would get a significant bump if like Brady he didn't need to start his rookie season, where he threw 28 interceptions.

I think Brady is one of the best quarterbacks in the 90 year history of the NFL. I never try to diminish greatness. I just try to put some of his accomplishments into perspective. I mean... Bledsoe was the guy the Pats couldn't win with and yet he was the guy who won the AFC Championship in 2001. As Favre would say, Brady fell into a very good situation. Since 2004, he's literally Peyton Manning only with a lower playoff passer rating.

Never thought about it that way, but it sounds about right to me.

No say Peyton dome rating is 99 and outdoors is say 95.0 and Brady;s is 100 dome and 95.9 because Peyton has played 75 more games in dome is rating should be higher. Make sense

I think it was Belichick who fell into a good situation. The team is 5-11 the year before and 0-2 with Bledsoe. They go on to win 3 out of the next 4 SB's

If Brady doesn't take over for Bledsoe that year, they aren't even in that game. So…

As far as "good situation" goes: Brady fell into a team that had lost 13 of its previous 18 games, and since then, they've lost 45 games out of 187 (.775). There's some perspective for you.

its not completely accurate to look at dome/outdoor stats. Peyton has proven he can do it all outside with the broncos hasnt he?

Remember anytime Peyton played outside it was also on the road, while brady played more than half his outdoor games at home, of course thats gonna help his rating.

Early in his career peyton really struggled with some games outdoors. but after about 2005 weather has basically been a non factor in his performances. heck he won the only SB played in rain. And since 2005 he has the highest passer rating of any qb in games that are under 40 degrees.

the media has fabricated this peyton can't play outdoors stuff. people just eat it up with out digging any deeper

a team with a coach and a damn good defense. peyton fell into a team that had an AWFUL defense and a pretty bad coach.

Utter stupidity. He's taken teams with Deion Branch as his top receiver to the Super Bowl and won. What you are talking is shear nonsense.
perhaps you mean "sheer" unless he was removing the fleece from his nonsense

Belichick's record as a head coach without Tom Brady = 51-65

And yes, a "damn good defense" on a team that was projected, almost unilaterally by football experts, to end up last in the AFC East in 2001.

so now what football experts predict is what actually happens?? I bet football experts predicted the falcons would make the playoffs.

What they predict means nothing. You are retarded, yes RETARDED, If you think Brady got thrown into a bad situation. He was in a situation where he did nothing but manage games. Peyton was thrown into a situation where the defense was one of the worst in the NFL.

:L

Seriously, dude. I never said he got thrown into a bad situation. But taking over a team that was 5-11 in 2000 and 0-2 when Brady stepped in is not the QB's paradise you'd like to believe it was. That team's season got turned around BECAUSE of Brady. Yes. Guess what? Managing games, not throwing stupid interceptions, and being a good team mate are part of being a good QB. Things that Bledsoe wasn't doing well.

Its a helluva lot better, with a much better established team than peyton got thrown into. Peyton was asked to go win games for the colts early in his career. brady was asked to not lose them. thats a big difference

Tony Dungy was a pretty bad coach? Setup TB for SB and had the Colts competing every year. Throw in the same OC for whole career in Tom Moore and then you have the same GM, Bill Polian who took Buffalo to SB 4 years in a row. Unfortunately he only built around Peyton and offensive weapons. BB being a defensive guru and a so so coach before Brady took over as QB, always built more around defense
