How does that stake up against ben rapeburger, don't want you girlfriend in the bathroom without an escort around him.

How about Harrison? I am guessing getting arrested for smaking the kids and wife around is just the steelers way!

Let not forget all the DUI's steelers have been arrested for like Taamu and Ward. I guess they are kind of like the Denver Bronco's east huh!

Oh and if you see Plaxico on the dancefloor some night, make sure he isn't packing!

Barrett Brooks, Santonio Homes, Jeff Reed, I could go on and on and on and on........

The pats have had their problems recently no question. But compared to a group like the steelers that could be considered a part of organized crime, they are pretty tame all things considered

When I defend the "virtuousness" of the football team I cheer for like a gushing fanboy, you'll have a point.

Until I do, you're a fanboy who's deflecting the shitty character of the players of the New England Patriots by saying...

"But but but...this guy! and that guy!"

Pathetic.

Well...clearly neither the Patriots nor the Steelers are in the same class as the Ravens.

As long as we both agree, beyond the fact that the make up of the steelers team could have been confused with a halfway house for the Pennsylvania State Corrections Department on any given day in the past couple of decades and the players are typically a bunch of loudmouth classless shitheads (we are not even covering the apparent support of terrorism against the U.S. by team members).

We are all good dude!:yahoo:

Still acting like a fanboy.

"But but...the guys on the team you cheer for"

You realize they don't know you and don't care about you right?

Just acknowledge that the Patriots are at least as slimy and shitty as every other pro football organization and move on.

There's a reason there's a widely used term called "massholes". That said, the Pats organization used to be a joke. Robert Kraft is truly one of the great owners in sports. Yeah he may have got lucky on a cast off head coach and 6th round draft pick, but he's got 3 rings (including Putin's). I can't stand BB and believe he will cheat given the opportunity (and has done so), but even with video you still have to make the plays.

Well the pats have certainly become one of the best franchises in the nfl since the krafts bought them and its true they had some bad times before but I am not sure how "lucky" the krafts have been. They have had 3 coaches during their time, the team went to a SB the fourth year they owned it (when brady was in high school) and out of those 3 coaches they have had a grand total of 2 losing seasons in the past 19 years (interestingly enough belichick owns one of those 2 losing seasons).

I don't disagree that you can get "lucky" but almost 2 decades suggest more of a trend than luck

No, they knew he was a violent gang member.

And chose to look the other way.

The Patriots will never be accountable ever again for anything. Why not?

Big Ben.

Answer to everything.

Of course they are accountable. And about 1/3 of every team in the nfl has about the same resume as hernandez had in college or before; if everyone of those guys turned into a murderer you and the other jokers making this seem like it could have been predicted might have a little bit of a point.

Actually, no the pats aren't accountable for drafting a player like Hernandez, they are responsible for what they do if and when he does something bad. and they did exactly what you would expect from a team like the pats: released him unconditionally when it becomes clear that he is still a bad apple.

Just like the titans did with Pac man jones right? How about the fantastic way the titans dealt with Hainsworth?

Those are two of examples of why the pats are the team the pats are and.....who exactly are the titans again and what is the next city they are heading for after they leave nashville?

Stack it any way you want, but when you land a first ballot hall of famer with a 6th round pick, it's PURE luck. Very doubtful they have any titles without Brady (and Vinatieri, the tuck rule, the videographer, etc...).

You should have mentioned the fact that Steve McNair was known to have a girlfriend. Clearly worse than an execution-style murder.

Just wow. Always boring to see the unoriginal ways Pats fans come up with to justify their bad behavior.

"Aaron Hernandez executed a man? Doesn't mean shit! After all, Pacman slapped a bitch once."

First round talent that went in the 4th round for known issues that led to him killing someone. I'm not against a team taking a risk on a guy with character issues. Just think Randy Moss. This one just worked out worse than any of them.

Of course the Patriots were not to blame for the killing, but they just lost a pro bowl tight end from their roster and get nothing in return. They paid the price for taking the risk.

Pointing the fingers towards one team's mistakes in player evaluation towards character is about the stupidest way to try and prove how horrible an organization is. Every team has players with shady backgrounds and every team has players that will make mistakes as the year goes on. Yes some teams have more than others like the Bengals for years were known as the organization that took more chances on players with shady backgrounds. Sometimes it works out in the team's favor and sometimes it does not. Every team has had players like that.

Also the Patriots weren't the only team looking at Hernandez. He was going to be drafted it was just a matter of who and when in the draft.

The patriots don't even really have a history of players getting into trouble off the field. They had one player who was a character risk blow up on them. At worst it's arrogance thinking they could fix the kid. The actions of one person they can't control don't make the organization scummy. It means they aren't perfect.

Fix what?! According to Robert Kraft, AH was the driven fucking snow, man! "A most likable young man."

What am I missing?

Are you trying to argue that guys like jones or hainsworth didn't make hernandez look like a boy scout before the titans drafted them and that if you wanted to bet money you would have bet either would have turned into a serial murder before Hernandez would have shot someone?

I don't have any problem with someone saying the entire nfl and every team should get together and create stricter standards for who they allow to play, even if they are supremely talented, but for a fan of another nfl team to give the pats grief for this, especially an non entity team like the titans with the sketchy history they have always had, is really over the top, don't you think?

At least their QB knows how to slide.

GriffKneeBuckle_display_image.jpg

I love it how the Synder painted dirt field gimmick to attempt to intentionally injury players from visiting teams backfired that day. While it still cost the Seahawks our starting DE, the fact that dirty trick backfired and took out their own starting QB provided some well deserved karma for that trashy run org. Karma.
