Is it fair to wonder if the Pats are wasting Brady's final years?
Sure is IMO

I think public pressure in Boston is exploding on this subject. Consistent mediocrity (used on radio this a.m.) cannot be our reputation.
Pressure is on for better results by the fan base than getting to AFC championship
Lol at referring to the Patriots as consistent mediocrity. Boston fans are spoiled. Crying because they aren't winning the super bowl every year. Marlins would have a top 3 pick.
Frustrated, sure, but they are legitimately in the hunt every year, have almost entirely rebuilt the team from the ground up, and are sure to be among the favorites again next year. Since Belichick took over they have won 14 more games than the next best team, at more than 100 games over 500.
They've fallen short but mediocrity is a little harsh.

Agreed it was harsh but there is no denying we are in full blown bridesmaid mode.
The NFL is a single elimination sport. The Patriots go deep in the playoffs every year because they know what they are doing. It's as much as you can ask for, imo. Injuries defeated them last year. This year's draft class might be the deepest wr class ever. They aren't the Marlins. Theyre the Rays or Cardinals

Things are changing in the division like I was saying (and you guys were pooh-poohing) all season long.
Patriots are nothing like the Marlins. Patriots are moneyball, longview, buy low, sell high, positional value, efficiency orientation sons of bitches looking at every angle trying to get every ounce of advantage.Going deep into the playoffs is cute but does not negate the fact that every teams goal is the Superbowl. they are the Marlins in relation to letting veteran talent walk.

They don't have to deal with Talib when character issues come up again. You got him cheap for a reasonSell high what exactly did they get in the Talib deal?
