hmmmmmm...Serena almost dropped the trophy!
If my provider doesn't get the tennis channel soon, I'm going to have to breakdown and subscribe to a good online streaming. Need one that shows all of the tennis matches. And, as far as Serena almost dropping the trophy, she is just so excited. At least she defended her points from last year. That was very important. Now she needs to go to the French Open and defend there as well. Good luck to her.

Queen of clay corrected Not Serena or Pova

Some idiots were calling Sharapova Queen of clay. Patrick and Tracy corrected that nonsense with stats that Serena's record is far superior than Pova. However, neither Serena nor Pova is Queen of clay . Justine Henin would be my girl on clay. Some made some other predictions, but I can only make choice by who I've seen play. Justine. We miss her.

I am sure there are others, but let's give Justine her credit and not give Pova credit she doesn't deserve.

They are not talking about a girl who was pummeled into retirement by Serena. They are talking about current/active players. By the way you and who miss her? Talk about yourself regarding Justine Henin the cheater!

Henin played pretty well for a handful of years. That was very nice for her.

The game passed her by in a hurry, as evidenced by her failed comeback in which she was routinely obliterated by her many superiors.

She got whipped back into retirement quickly, and I'm glad that she's having a such a nice life after retirement. She seems very happy.

I know Henin made some ethical mistakes and yes her time was limited, but nobody can take away her record on clay in the last 15 20 years.

I agree. Kudos to her for knowing when to get out. Glad she's moved on and happy.

Haters gonna hate

Haters? That is the truth and it hurts badly. You can cook it anyway you want it but she lost me big time with the number of cheating not only with Serena, but Mauresmo et al. She had to withdraw from a major event because she feared facing Venus in her own words? Give me a break. She is a cheater!

No, she was shellacked out of the game. She thought she could follow Clijsters achievement until she ran into Serena whom she had cheated oa the French open. Poetic justice.

I hear ya Liberal, but who has won more on clay than Justine in the last 15 to 20 years. I was only talking about wins in clay not her cheating. I am aware of this behavior. I understand and respect your position.

Serena is STILL the best!!!

she started slow this year, but with this win, she is still #1 (and will be for along time), the nearest (Li) is 4050 points behind her, she is now #2 in prize money and 2nd on the road to Singapore!

If she wins the FO, she will be #1 in every category!!!! NOW, that's what I am looking forward to!!!

LETS GO SERENA!!!

No Doubt, bur she is also one of the oldest. Can have a Sr. day out of the blue. That's what makes it so tough to keep playing when these players get older. Its not that they are much slower or get hurt that much more, its the consistency that goes because the body just decides it aint happening that day. To play at that level day in and day out is what becomes more difficult as one ages.
