I have to say I'm encouraged by Dallas getting their ass handed to them yesterday. The Defense only gave up 319 yards. That's 200 less than I expected. Also Murray went over 100 and some of the young receivers had some good plays. If Romo hadn't had his head entrenched firmly up his butt they could have been in the game.

I thought that as well, woulda, coulda, shoulda.....

Part of that on the defense was because they weren't on the field much especially in the first quarter. Thanks to scores on turnovers.

Cali should be happy about III. He did complete 78%. of course a 6 YPC average isn't going to get it done. Foles only hit 60% but a 9 YPC average was enough.

If the Redskins aren't going to let RG3 run around, might as well put Kirk Cousins in there, since he's more of a pocket passer

Nick played with his head up his arse, actually the whole offense played like that, but they rallied when they needed to save face....:L

On a brighter note I just cut DJax and Morris from my fantasy team, :L :wtf2: was I thinking on draft day??

Griff was efficient. As well as more decisive and quicker than we saw in the preseason. He didn't lose the game but he didn't win it either. He lacked any of the explosiveness I've seen in the past. That style of play isn't going to scare any team. But I did see some progress.

Foles...did not play well yesterday. Held onto the ball too long and looked off the entire game. It appears pressure messes with his head, an issue I suspected might be a problem for him. Perhaps that Interception stat is playing a mind game on him.

Yet it's still only 1 game. Lotta football to be played yet and lotta improvements that both QBs can make...

Agree that Griff has to combine his greatest strength...the threat of the run. And the skins have to use our running game which seems to have not lost a step so far this year.

To me, against the one man wrecking crew of JJ Watt, our TOs and ST gaffes, we were not going to win that game, no matter who was behind center.

Lot of come backs yesterday, Brownies almost stealing one, Buffalo against Chicago, defensive coaches are gonna rip some players when they come back for practice...

If Romo plays poorly or is lost for the season this team is going to completely collapse. I agree the D surprisingly didn't play terribly yesterday, but keep in mind that after going up 28-3 the Niners basically put it on cruise control. The jury is still out on that D, but my guess is they are as bad as feared.

Ugly weekend for the NFCE. It's looking as bad as many seemed to think it would.

Who y'all got for this weekend? I'm thinking...

Indy over Philly
Ariz over Gnats
Titans over Boys
Skins over Jags

Homer pick, I know. :becky:

Well I'll go with you on Indy and Arizona, heck I'll even give you the Skins. After all playing the Jags is just a glorified bye. But I do think Dallas can take the Titans. Hell they could have beat the 9ers if dipshit didn't throw three picks.

I can just as easily see the skins losing actually. If we don't run the ball more, or straighten up TOs and STs gaffes, we will lose again.

Titans are looking pretty good. Any given Sunday...could see it for Dallas.

I think the Skins need to stretch the field. III was throwing at 80% last week. The problem was the 6 YPC average. Any defense can crowd the line and smother the offense if every play is happening within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. Maybe the line can't give III the extra second, I don't know. I didn't see the game.
I am pretty sure Jay Gruden will be the last person to figure it out.

Pass pro is a real problem on the right side of the Oline. That said, The running game was not used enough. Morris and Helu were averaging almost 7 yards each time they ran the ball.

And the game plan was lopsided to short passes that was what the Texas D was giving. Makes no sense not to play to the strengths of the line which is zone runs. Hopefully we will see that this weekend. Most skins fans are hoping for 20-25 runs by Morris. I think there were 14 in the Texans game. Head scratcher for sure.

I'm telling you it's a genetics thing. Unless Jay can take over someone else's team like daddy did then he won't smell the playoffs. Just like the whole Ryan family. Buddy never won a SB as a HC and neither will Toe Sucker or the Potty Mouth Hippie.
