Let's examine this a little closer shall we:

Ask for your "record comment" well the Gmen will take a huge hit if Wilson can't run the ball, and I still don't believe that defense will look like Giants defenses of old, you know the reason as to why they won those rings.

As for the Eagles, well I believe this defense will be a lot better, the secondary was horrible last season, they have upgrade at Safety, and they have also add pass rush specialist.

Offensively, well I'm down right frickn giddy to see this high octane offense take the field. Some are debbie downers about it since Mr Jackson has gone to Washington, Please, the addition of Sproles, Maclin and Benn returning, plus the two rookie wide outs they took in the draft, holly shit, look out records cause this might be the unit that takes all those numbers down...

I actually would place the eagles offense at the top of the NFCE heap.

Skins, Dallas and Gnats in that order myself, but that is on paper only. Health and cohesiveness will play a huge determining factor for all the teams this year.

For instance, take Dallas, if Romo has issues with his back, it's a game changer...and will they run the ball with any consistency... The Oline looks to be getting stronger every day, so that is a huge plus...

For the Gnats, are we gonna see good or bad Eli? How's that reworked Oline going to be for him? Will they finally find their running game again...

Skins have a lot of questions to answer. Is Griff going to bounce back from his unprecedented rookie year? People forget because of last year, how incredible he was in his rookie season. No QB has ever had such an incredible rookie year. They like to bash him as just another option QB, but I think this is absurd. Look at the passing numbers he put up at Baylor. Now, does he stay healthy and injury free? How has his ability to read defenses come along? Is he a smarter decision maker when it comes to scrambling, running, sliding and bootlegs? This year will answer a lot of questions about how quickly he can transition into an NFL mobile QB, not quasi RB...

The additions of Roberts and DJax to Garçon, with Reed also available make this O potentially very potent. Lot of toys to throw to if these guys can all gel quickly. Add in Al Mo and Helu (or maybe even Thompson or Seastrunk) and Darrell Young... Well, this could be a wicked offense. Literally a possible Posse II. But with a new Head Coach, new offense scheme and our mediocre upgrade to our Oline, there remain quite a few big IFS in play for whether it all comes together this year.

The thing about DJax that you must consider is he was a double bonus for us - he will spread the field and have to be accounted for by defenses every play AND he no longer plays on a division rivals team... Even tho I wasn't a proponent for the pick up, I can't deny these advantages of having him on the team. I root for team first, regardless.

And now for the Eaglettes. Again, I think this offense has to be placed first in the division, right now. Chip is into his second year as coach and I don't see this offensive scheme as a gimmick as some others claim. It's a legit offensive scheme. Basically it's a numbers game and takes advantage of the match ups very successfully. Chip has done an amazing job at capitalizing on that. And Shady is an amazing threat every down.

I simply don't see Foles having as great a run this year. Certainly he will have more TOs. It would be hard not to, regardless. First, there is now quite a bit of tape on him and his tendencies. Saw him waver under pressure quite a few times last year... Good thing you have a strong Oline, but with solid pass rushing teams, I don't see him doing as well. At least he protects the ball, but I see sacks and grounding calls in his future, especially as we all face the NFC West defenses this year...

Maclin. Gotta see him play to believe he's returned to form. I've learned the HARD way not to have ANY great expectations regarding a players ability to bounce back after an ACL tear the next year. We shall see if he's the weapon you think he will be.

Same for Sproules. Guys a baller and elusive but is he the same guy as a couple years ago? I think he's lost a step, but he is still dangerous and a good pick up for y'all.

Like the rooks, but they're rooks. Need time to gel. We shall see.

Soooooooo, to wrap up, I truly feel with a little luck, barring devastating injuries, ANY of the NFCE east teams can take the division. All of them have suspect Defenses with holes somewhere, at least on paper.

This year is going to be fun :suds:

That's a pretty good rebuttal, :suds:

now what happens if the defenses are actually better in the division instead of the offenses.

As long as the offenses produced in a similar vein as the average past few years, this division would easily be the NFCbEAST again... :becky:

Until we know more it's likely to be NFClEAST. We'll see how the teams look after training camp.

Watched North Dallas 40 today for maybe the 50th time in my life, a 35 year old movie that totally sums up the NFL and the thought process on how they treat players....

I watched Invincible for like the 75th time in its 10 year existence. I agree that Eagles are better off getting players off the street
