Enunwa trying to earn roster spot as Jets' hybrid receiver

Might finally get off the ps. Crazy. The Jets have held onto him forever knowing his upside. I was worried he would get passed around a bit on practice squads and fizzle out.

"Enunwa's emergence has been one of the surprises of Jets training camp. Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker have the first two wide receiver spots locked down, and it was generally assumed Jeremy Kerley was the No. 3.

Instead, Enunwa has been getting an extended look with the starters — while Kerley was curiously working almost exclusively with the backups before a concussion sidelined in the second preseason game.

"He's kind of a tweener," coach Todd Bowles said of the 6-foot-2, 225-pound Enunwa, who can block smaller defenders and outrun bigger ones. "He's a kind of interesting guy that can do both, so we're trying to maximize all of the use we can get out of his talents."

I see Danny Woodhead make Gordon look bush league every week and I know for a fact that Ameer is just a supercharged Danny.

it's just a little sad AA is stuck in Detroit. i was watching some of the game and their offense is a trainwreck. looked at the stat line, they gave Bell 10 carries for 6 yards. AA wasn't much better but at least got 23yds on 8 carries. he also got lucky on an overturned fumble he had, man it was close, guessing he holds the ball a little tighter from now on.

So much talent. Can't hang on to the ball. Has midget arms.

I think he'll learn. he tries to fight to hard for those extra yards and just gotta go down once you are got, if he fell a split second earlier it's not a fumble, heck they had to go to instant replay to determine that it was.
