What does that say about a program when literally the best WR in the program’s history statistically doesn’t get drafted

how about all the players in the late rounds that had massive, nearly career ending injuries, yet, get drafted. (Some with multiple year career ending injuries)

I’m actually quite shocked.

At looking at draft eligible Huskers next year, I don’t see any draft picks either if it goes anything like this year

Noah Fant - TE - Iowa

High School: Omaha South

1st Round/20th overall pick.

Mike Riley offered him to play DE.

That should tell you all you need to know about Riley's talent evaluation.

Agreed. Really surprising Morgan didn't go. Ozigbo not as surprising but as said so many smaller school picks.

Random thought, but as it got late in the draft and neither Morgan or Ozigbo were being taken, why as an NFL team would you draft them especially if you had a specific need to fill still on your roster other than WR or RB and you could offer Morgan and Ziggy a free agent deal for nothing financially.

I had a feeling that after the 5th round they were in trouble of not being drafted.

I don't watch much NFL.

Niles Paul will always be remembered by me for this play at 0:55 against Iowa St in 2009.

That game was the day of my sister's wedding. Thankful I didn't get to watch it.

As for Paul, coming out of college as a WR and to end up having an 8 year career as a TE and even FB at times is impressive. His stat line won't ever be remembered, but an 8 year NFL career for anybody is impressive.

Thought about using him in my countdown post today, but just couldn't bring myself to do it. That loss was not all on him, it was the epitome of undisciplined bopleeny teams.
