Nice to see the Tigers getting back on track.


The Chiefs beat Tri-City down in Kennewick 3-2 to run their record on the season to 10-5. The Chiefs are without 3 of their top forwards: Marek Kalus, Blake Gal and Mitch Holmberg, the last of which received a nasty hit to the head from Nick Walters of Everett last night who is currently awaiting the length of his suspension. Of course Walters was not assessed a penalty for the hit in the game. Gotta love those WHL refs! :p But considering the Chiefs had 3 of their top 6 forwards out this was a nice win against the Americans, who look like they have a solid team yet again.

Erie D Adam Pelech left yesterday's game with an apparent Left Leg injury. Apparently he couldn't put any weight on it as he left the ice. I haven't been able to find any updated information on the severety of the injury.

Kamloops beats Seattle in overtime to up their record to 15-0-0-1. Meanwhile, the Tigers win their 4th straight defeating Moose Jaw 3-2 in overtime.

Everett gave the Loops a run for their money, but the Blazers manage to win yet again. I wonder if they'll be able to keep it up all year and take a shot at Brandon's record of 125 points or (I believe) Victoria's record of 60 wins. Keeping in mind of course, both of those records were accomplished without shootouts or loser points.

Oil Kings want to make a push for another Memorial Cup appearance (gonna be tough to repeat as WHL Champions though).

/It wil be pretty funny if Saskatoon misses the WHL playoffs and still gets a chance to play for the Memorial Cup.

Tigers get a measure of revenge on Vancouver with a 5-1 win over the Giants. Vancouver goalie Liam Liston had to leave tonight's game with a suspected gr-gr-groin injury.
