The New York Islanders have signed 6'4 Defenseman Andrei Pedan to an entry level contract. Pedan was the Isles 3rd round pick in 2011.

Kelowna is trying to become the second team in WHL history to erase a 3-0 deficit and win a best of 7 series. Seattle had Kelowna on the ropes last night, but Kelowna came back from down 3-1 and won in OT. Game 7 tonight.

Not sure where to put this considering it's college hockey news, but here it is. George Gwozdecky is leaving the University of Denver.

I know a number of prized prospects play at their so it will be interesting to see who stays or signs with the team that drafted them.

Yeah 1996 first round against Portland. Unfortunately I was too young at the time to really appreciate what they did. I still have game 7 on a vhs somewhere in the basement. Should probably transfer that to dvd before the tape degrades.

I really didn't expect Medicine Hat to knock off Saskatoon (and really diidn't see a sweep) so this upcoming playoff series against the Oil Kings is pure gravy. Of course, I never get tired of beating Edmonton
