How bout everett beating portland 4-3 in game 1 (58 shots for portland)

Portland with 60 more points and 32 more wins than everett this past regular season

Seth jones shouldnt have to be making any "we're the best team" comments for this one because everyone knows it but game 1 might make some sphincters pucker

You know what's better than winning one playoff game on the road? Winning two playoff games on the road. Tigers victorious again tonight by a 3-0 count. Cam Lanigan with the shutout.

/Blades have lost 10 consecutive playoff games.

Would be a new low, the Memorial Cup hosts going out in round one (hope it happens). Being swept would be even worse.

10 straight, ouch.

Seattle took out Kelowna 5-4 in OT last night as well. The Thunderbirds only finished 50 points behind the Rockets.

Seattle has a 2-0 lead in their series with Kelowna. Wowza. Also, a nice bounce-back for Kootenay winning game two in OT 2-1 after losing the opener 9-0 to Edmonton.

Tigers lead the Blades 4-0 after the first period of game 3 - Keep it going, boys!

/Blades trying to goon it up, it could get ugly.

The Mooseheads lead the Sea Dogs 3-0 as expected. What isn't expected was that the Sea Dogs managed to lose game 2 by only 1 goal (2-1). First game was 11-1. I figured 3 of the 4 games would be of a similar score and that the closest would be 5 goals if the Sea Dogs were lucky. Game 3 was 6-1.

Other than the 1st game, Halifax hasn't been as dominant as you would expected from a #1 seed vs a #16 seed in an 18 team league. I don't think they will win the Memorial Cup and wouldn't be shocked if they fail to win the Q, especially with Grigorenko and Matteau back in the mix.

Just how bad are the Sea Dogs since Christmas? Jonathan Huberdeau won the team scoring title. He hasn't played a game for the Sea Dogs since early December. :L He could end up leading both the Sea Dogs and Florida Panthers in scoring in the same season.

5-2 Tigers final and Blades have lost all their composure - Nathan Burns runs Tigers goalie Cam Lanigan and then John Nicholls take a major for slashing Shinkaruk at the final buzzer.

The Blades should forfeit the right to hosting the Memorial Cup if they get swept by the Tigers in the first round. Of course, they have such a storied history of choking in the playoffs that this is the only way they could get to a Memorial Cup.

/11 straight playoff losses, what a joke.

Hahaha! The Moncton Wildcats give up a 3rd period 5-1 lead and lose 6-5 in OT to the Victoriaville Tigres. This series was supposed to be relatively easy for Moncton (4 or 5 games). :)

Although it's still far from over, 2 things makes this sweet for me.

1 is that the Wildcats went all in to go for it this year. They paid a steep price in future assets to acquire the services of Team Canada World Junior Phillipe Dannault. Who did they acquire him from? The Victoriaville Tigres who (in theory) downgraded this year's team for the future.

Also, the reason why Moncton is going for it tihs year is because last season they traded Brandon Gormley to Shawinigan for a bunch of draft picks, then all those draft picks went back to Shawinigan after the season for players. 1 of those players is their current goalie Dubeau (forget his 1st name and too lazy to look it up). Gormely wanted to come to the Sea Dogs and the Sea Dogs offered a better package than Shawinigan, but Moncton refused to trade him to their biggest/provincial rivals. All season long Wildcats fans have been disappointed in this Dubeau guy and while some often defend him, they seem to be in agreement tonight that the loss was mostly his fault.

Edit - Apparently the tying goal was a 2 on 1 with less than 2 minutes to play. That's some pretty good coaching right there. :L

Didn't see this mentioned. Chiefs have a 2-0 series lead on Tri-City. Game 3 tied at 4 with 4:40 left in the 3rd.

Spokane blows a 4-1 lead and loses game 3 to Tri-City 5-4 in OT. What a fucking surprise another team that I root for with a choke job! Fuck this shit gets so old.
