glad you are seeing the same control from Reinhart that made me like his game so much.
i know you had some doubts when the Isles drafted him.
he's just so damned composed

Griffen reminds me of Kenny Jonsson with how composed he is. He made a play in the corner in which he was surrounded by two Russian players yet some how split between them with the puck on his stick. The color commentator seemed quite surprised & impressed. LOL

bah.. Giants finally get a chance to crawl out of the cellar (facing Everett at home, 2 points back)
Everett is the worst offense in the west, and they put six in on the Giants on 27 shots :L 6-5

Tigers drop a 5-2 decision in Portland tonight. Winterhawks have a solid team again this season.

Yes, he is as advertised, a darn good player...

That's great. The more studs the NHL has the better. With players like Yakupov, MacKinnon, Jones, Barkov, Sam Reinhart & McDavid who might be the best of the bunch on the way the league has a lot to look forward too. Too bad they can't get their shit together on the business side of things.

Anton Zlobin moved himself into the top 15 in scoring last nite in the Q with a 2G-1A line in a losing effort to Halifax. He now has 14G-21A in 24 games. Not too shabby for a 6th round pick

Jonathan Drouin is another guy making serious waves.
15G 20A in 16 GP for Halifax.
draft eligible, and climbing the charts fast (currently ranked 4th by ISS, I believe)

The question I have about Drouin is whether or not his points are partly due to MacKinnon or is he really this good? Apparently he was highly touted before he arrived in Halifax last year so hopefully he's the real deal. The MooseHeads are rated #1 in the CHL.

Obviously, I would love it if somehow the Flames landed the No. 1 pick and selected MacKinnon. However, Calgary kid Hunter Shinkaruk might not be a bad consolation prize.

Barkov is intriguing. The kid is one of the youngest players eligible for the 2013 draft & he's apparently dominating the Finnish elite league.

Not good news for Ryan Murray:

TSNBobMcKenzie: Ryan Murray looks extremely doubtful for WJC and possibly big chunk, if not all of, season. Small tear in (shoulder) labrum. Surgery likely

Streit has the same injury & he missed an entire season. The Blue Jackets can't get a break.

on the other hand, it will save them a year on his ELC (assuming we do have a season)
for the top end rookies, it would be kind of a shame to burn a year for a 48 game season.

Yeah, what's the point of bringing up a rookie for a shortened season. Every team named two players they could brinig to training camp from junior though. The Islanders put Strome & Reinhart on the list. Who were the Canucks choices?

I think it was Brendan Gaunce (Belleville Bulls) and Frankie Corrado (Sudbury Wolves).
