I honestly don't know what to expect. Defenses always seem to be ahead of offenses after the long layoff.

Yes fans of teams other than FSU can speak all they want. I am just giving stats. Even admitting that Auburn will run the ball and get yards.

I expect a great game. With a level playing field think FSU is 8-10 points better. But you have to hand it to the Tigers, anythig can happen.

Oh, you meant first half right?

They will have to pass, bc with a month to prepare and Awburn's offense being so one-sided it will be an ugly 1st half. 2nd half they might get over 200, so it will be close.

Yeah they got a shot. They can run the ball on anyone. I just dont think their defense is good enough to win. FSU 38-21

if winston's jersey stays clean & FSU can tackle in space, then it could be a long day for auburn. however, if auburn can keep matching FSU's scores, they (FSU) might find themselves in uncharted territory for the first time all season. meaning, they'll be in a close game after halftime.....and who knows what can happen then. will FSU handle the late pressure? hell, will they have the gas to play in a dogfight for four full quarters, since many of their starters have played sparingly after halftime?

also to consider: the "rust" factor. both teams could be rusty coming in, thanks to the month layoff....but IMO the team with the running game (auburn) can probably rebound quicker than the team with a passing attack.

but really, i expect FSU to get the W.....but i don't think it's as much of a foregone conclusion as other folks have been saying....

Maybe. If the trend of passing performance dropping off in the BCSNCG continues, though, there is a better chance Auburn wins.

Auburn's defense is definitely ranked lower than FSU and appears to be a mismatch against the FSU offense but those numbers have to be taken in the context of SOS. Yes, FSU dominated their competition but they have only played 1 team in the top 30. Auburn has beaten 2 in the top 10 and 5 in the top 30. FSU's SOS is weaker than OSU's and there was serious talk of them being left out after winning 24 straight! FSU hasn't been tested all year. The nearest example could be Clemson but they went up by three scores quickly on two turnovers and never looked back.

It could be ugly but the more I think about it I like Auburn's chances in a close one.

I think it'll be up to Florida State stopping the Barns running game. Nobody has really done that.

Also need to take the espn effect into account: sec teams tent to be ranked way higher than they desrrve due to the hype machine. In the poll that actually matters: 2 highest 1 loss teams in sec, 2nd and 3rd highest 2 loss teams...sec, 2nd highest 3 loss team...sec, top 2 4 loss teams of only 3......you guessed it, sec. And fsu has played a lot more than 1 top 30 team, but way to cherry pick the marginally relevant saggarrin poll, and I didnt eben check his multi tweaked poll, or if you even used the correct indicator, but multi tweaks mid season renders his poll suspicious at best
