RJ In Vegas (big time sports gambler) actually found a guy that was able to bet $25k at -270 on FSU at the Las Vegas Hilton. Ticket was printed December 9th.

As to why they played so flat, it defies reason - but its clear as day to everyone (again, save for Auburn fans) that they did. And you barners should be happy they did.

You know good and well that were the two teams to face each other next week, Auburn would be heavy underdogs.

Stopped them enough. Held them to 7 points over the last 33 minutes of the game. If I were an Alabama fan, I'd say those 7 points came on a fluke play. In reality, Auburn's defensive backs just didn't make the play.

they wouldn't have had the chance to beat missouri though. really depends on the competitiveness of the loss to alabama. if they lose in overtime, yeah probably. if they are blown out, maybe not.

SEC streak is coming to an end. You can't win the BCS on rushing attack alone. Coach Fisher will be ready for the triple option.

I think this game will be closer than expected but FSU still wins. You have to give Auburn some credit for getting through the season with only 1 loss. You have to be a pretty good team to accomplish that. I know ....... The UGA win was a fluke ...... The Bama game was luck too. Blah, blah, blah ..... They still did what it took to win the game. With that said, I still think FSU is a juggernaut and AU isn't going to stop them. AU can only hope to keep up. I think the difference in this game will be FSU's D. FSU's O is probably going to smoke AU, but can AU's O hang enough pts to keep it close until the end of the game, similar to the Bama and UGA games?

Mostly freshman? No you guys had 4 freshman playing. Those freshman also played the majority of the year. Also remember it is a rivalry game so most statistics go out the window. Look at what the 1st quarter was like last night. FSU had 80 yards in the 1st quarter with no points. You are looking into things way too much. Auburn is good on offense but horrible on defense.

Lastly. It is not how you start the game, but how you FINISH it and FSU most definitely finished the game strong against UF like every other team. Quarters 2,3, and 4 UF was outmatched.

Actually it is a good one to make since UF's defense is better than Auburns. Even with all of the injuries.

Auburn will get yards rushing no doubt about that. I think the key thing people are forgetting when they bring up BC and Miami is that NEITHER team scored a rushing touch down. I am fine with giving up yards between 20s. I like it much better that the FSU 1st string defense builds a wall inside the 20.

Nice little stat to go along with this. The 1st string defense has not given up a single rushing touchdown. The 5 TDs given up were all in the 2nd half against the 2ndand 3rd string defense. 2 to NC State, 1 to Clemson, 1 to UF, and 1 to Bethune Cookman in the 2nd half. I think he 1st string defense is pretty good at stuffing the run inside the 20 which is where I would like to see them. We have the speed to catch and keep Mason and Marshall. It will come down to gap control and being 100% disciplined. Especially our Freshman Safety.


Edit: Need to add that we will have to move Christian Jones back to LB and not leave him at DE for the DL to be more successful against the OOL of Auburn. Another big body and use Jones' athleticism and tackling ability in space and in the gaps.
