We have the same amount of recruits. It's apples to apples at that point.
No it's not. Because we were forced to give up high-end 3 star recruits that make our class ranked higher...And lose a smaller head to head matchup because OSU's class is top heavy.

So you admit your class isn't as good of quality.

I guess the small "victories" mean more to 2nd-3rd tier programs like michigan these days. I simply can't relate.

No, I mean that when you are forced to remove recruits from a class to try and give your team an advantage; you've already lost the argument. "If you remove all players but the top 3, Ohio State wins".

You mean, if Michigan lost players that are making our class better than yours, it would be worse than Ohio State's? Nice logic.

Penn St also has a better recruiting class than you. They aren't reeling in the 3* to fill up their class.

Michigan has 11 3* recruits.

You usually see the best classes go quality over quantity but if they have enough roster spots the goal is both.
Bama has 1 3*, UGA has 2, Penn has 1, Ohio St has 5, Auburn 6, Notre Dame 6.

We already have the advantage. We have the 3rd best class in the nation when it comes to actual quality.

It's similar to the OSU vs michigan all-time argument: congrats for having more wins, but everyone knows they're simply not as good of quality (in this case because so many of them came before teams were allowed to throw the football or wear facemasks).

Happens all the time. Clemson has 14. Alabama signed 7 last year. Penn State 8. OU 10. ND 13. All top 10 classes.

Again, that's fine if OSU only had 16 spots open; they didn't'. They had over 20. You simply couldn't fill the spots you had. That's bad. That's not an advantage. A class with a single five star recruit isn't awesome because it has a great star average.

LOL hilarious. We're set to lose fewer guys this year than normal, and next year's class is loaded (we're already 5th in the nation). We're favored/heavily favored to pick up four more 5* (including the #1 overall recruit), and are in the mix for three other 5* guys, and are also heavily favored/in the mix for eight more 4* guys ranked in the top 100.

But you sit there and tell yourself whatever you have to to try and convince yourself OSU is in decline. We'll all just keep sitting and laughing at you.

He is acting like this is the end of recruiting, still got a lot of time. Either way scUM, as we know, goes for quantity over quality. Harrison came to Ohio St bc he wants to win

Top 15 vs Top 15
Michigan avg = .9289
OSU avg = .9191

Now STFU. Unless you want to use Rivals only or something. Without Zach's mom your average is way lower. Are you even going to keep the OT that is looking to flip to PSU?

I'm wondering how many more underachieving seasons Harbaugh can have before recruits start realizing he's simply just a good coach and not a great or elite one. Next year is absolutely integral for them. OSU loses Urban and Haskins most likely, Penn State loses McSorely, Michigan State has obvious offensive issues. If michigan can't come through with a trip to Indy next year (they have Iowa, Michigan State, and Ohio State all at home), it's going to be a devastating blow.

Everyone acts like Michigan's class is trash this year like in 2018. Far from the truth. If you take out the bottom 5 guys, the overall 247 score doesn't change much and it's still a top 10 class. They just added a ton of 3 stars early on for one reason or another. Do I wish they didn't and went after a bit more quality? Sure, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good class.

And Zach Charbonnet should be a 5 star composite by the time Feb 2nd hits.

Does @MAIZEandBLUE09 know recruiting isn't over yet? I've read through the last 4/5 pages and I don't think he realizes it.

I did post in one of those "if the class sizes stick" or something like that. Yes. I realize they can land more. But what we saw last year is that classes were mostly settled after the first signing day and there aren't major influxes of recruits to a team after. I don't think OSU signs 10 more players.

It isn't. Michigan is still fighting for Crouch and maybe they can get a DT. Ford is possible but at this point he might want to stay out west. Also I know you guys are almost a lock for Foskey, but what if his grades aren't up to par for you guys but are for Michigan?

If you realize it, you certainly aren't acting like it. Lol.

He's just happy this class isn't a disaster like 2018's. We were actually really close to landing like 5 5 stars or borderline 4/5 stars.

I added more above - to summarize. OSU might land a recruit or two, but I don't think they'll get 5+ more guys to sign by then. Maybe I'm wrong. We haven't had these two signing days long enough to know the full impacts but last year classes were mostly set after the first.
