I thought we had some 3 stars too.

What if you remove them?
Right. You do.

If you remove the 3 stars from both classes, Michigan comes out with a 256.79 point total. Compared to Ohio State at
226.09.

I'll take our 2 point average better player overall.

Well. Yes. Because it’s a problem OSU has more than 20 spots and didn’t fill them. That is not good and your clas ranking reflects that.

They don't need to sign 27 recruits like you do. It seems like they are getting targets at positions where they are losing the most. I expect them to sign some more to about 20 or so. By that time, we will be ahead of scUM. All that means is while you are signing lower caliber guys, Ohio St is signing more talented players. I guess it makes sense why you lose every year lol

Yeah — I’ve been trying to explain this to UM fans all day. UM is ranked as high as they are based the size of the class.

One thing I am wanting to see. How will Day handle the scholarship management at OSU. The top coaches are cutthroat and find ways to open scholarships up (refuse 5th years for redshirts who don’t play, medical hardships, greyshirts, lots of transfers, etc,)
Will Day be the same way. If he isn’t, OSU will take a small step back.
You want to be able to sign basically a full class every year. Not sure why OSU is only at 15 this year?

I expect around 20-22 but yeah it will take some time recruiting wise. Urban was second only to Saban but I think Day can still produce top 10 classes year after year but it just won't be the same, which is expected. This number better not stay this low.

Kirby isn't far behind Saban. Hopefully Day can follow suit.

If you remove all of our 3 stars, we rank literally 1 spot behind Ohio State.

You do realize Ohio St only had 25 roster spots open so their class in general isn't going to be as large. I actually think that has shrunk and if Fields transfers that will shrink by one more. I still expect around 20 but there just isn't enough room for a 25-27 player recruiting class.

Right, and only signing 16 was bad. If OSU had 4 more four star recruits in this class they'd be ahead of Michigan in the rankings. They couldn't get kids to sign....

OSU was projected at a class size of 25. Even if they're class could have been smaller, it shouldn't have been anywhere near 16.

Fine, I guess. We'll see what you say down the line with a super small junior/senior class. You can sign 1 single five star recruit and have an awesome average but OSU failed on many fronts with this class. Which is the first sign of cracks we've seen since Urban got there.

And nothing you just said is accurate.

"You can sign 1 single five star recruit and have an awesome average" - We have 3

"but OSU failed on many fronts with this class" - No they didn't

"Which is the first sign of cracks we've seen since Urban got there." Sad that you have to make things up to try and make a point

I know all of Bama nation was sweating yesterday after Trey Sanders committed and then didn't send his LOI. Bama didn't receive it until after 10 pm last night. :gaah:

We have 16 guys. If you cut your class down to 16 (gets rid of all 3* players), you'd still be behind us.
You mean, if Michigan lost players that are making our class better than yours, it would be worse than Ohio State's? Nice logic.

Yeah. Bama has really struggled to pull in elite players lately. They really needed that win.

I mean if you had the same amount of players as us. Again, congrats on loading up with 11 3* guys to give you guys an edge in quantity. I'm much happier with our higher quality.

If the classes were equal size, you'd only be ranked higher because of your 5 three star recruits.....what is your argument here?

We have the same amount of recruits. It's apples to apples at that point.

Umm...this class isn't done. What is bad is signing a bunch of 3* for depth. Hasn't seemed to work in the past, it's why they can't win big games...well that and bc Harbs is about as overrated as they come
