The way it stands now, either he or Sam Freeman will probably make it, if we do sign Kimbrel, if either make the roster unless one of them just has a dominant spring, we'll have every right to bitch.

Idk if we would do that to McCann....even though we did do it to Tom Glavine...I think its much more likely McCann goes on DL, we call up Contreras, and he lights shit up and we are forced to drop McCann

McCann took the money to go to the Yankees, and he rode it to a World Series ring with Houston. We don't owe him anything, just like we didn't owe Glavine anything after he came back after taking the money to play for our biggest rival.

AA has no attachment to McCann, there's a reason why it only took 2 million for him to sign here. If he doesn't perform, we can't afford to waste a roster spot on a guy that just mentors. I know Chipper had a pretty big role as mentor his later years, but he was still a productive player the whole time. If he isn't producing, DFA him and offer him a spot on the coaching staff.

But Flowers is a righty and so are both Contreras and Jackson, so if neither McCann or Flowers are producing, Flowers would probably be the one to go.

Im starting to fall off on Riley a bit. He K's way too much. Im really high on Pache though..... I think he will be our starting RF in 2020 and hopefully he gets called up this year.

I've been lower on Riley than pretty much anyone since last year.

Would have loved to have flipped him and Soroka. Package them two together and we could have gotten damn near anybody we wanted short of Mike Trout and Mookie Betts.

I obviously hope I'm wrong and it turns out Riley is the next Chipper, but I think it's more likely he'll be like Joey Gallo. A lot of homers, a lot of strikeouts and a low batting average.
