It's money I wish would have went elsewhere, but it is what it is now. Hopefully he'll earn his pay.

I don't have a problem with spending on JD for 1 year (a prove it year for him too). I have a problem with the Braves not spending after that.

I wanted a trade for Realmuto to happen, but their asking price was reportedly ridiculous. I hope someday (very soon) we are glad we didn't give away what they wanted for him.

I still am holding out drunken hope the Braves will sign Kimbrel. Liberty could throw us a little bone to slightly dull our awareness to their cheapness...for fucks sake.

Nick Markakis just quietly puts together the most consistent at bats on the team.

I don't care how many homers he hits...if he drives in 90 again, I will be very happy.

If we upgraded the pen or added a starter, that combined with Donaldson would have made for a great offseason, but since that's all we spent, I would have rather spent 23 million on an area of need. We had third pretty well covered.

If Donaldson plays like he did pre injury, it'll be worth it, but pitching was a far bigger need.

Camargo has to be unhappy between the Bautista deal last year and now Donaldson.

I would give him 2 starts a week in RF and 2 a week at 3B. Give Donaldson and Markakis a rest....we saw last year how Nick got tired.
