I don't have a problem with spending on JD for 1 year (a prove it year for him too). I have a problem with the Braves not spending after that.

I wanted a trade for Realmuto to happen, but their asking price was reportedly ridiculous. I hope someday (very soon) we are glad we didn't give away what they wanted for him.

I still am holding out drunken hope the Braves will sign Kimbrel. Liberty could throw us a little bone to slightly dull our awareness to their cheapness...for fucks sake.

My gut wants me to believe that we didn't try to close some ass with Realmuto because we're so high on Contreras & he'll be the #1 catcher in 2020.
