And the regular season is over, and our season isn't. Been too long since we could say that.

Only thing we don't know if who we'll play in the NLDS and the bench and bullpen spots on the playoff roster.

Looks like we get to look forward to a trip to LA against Clayton Kershaw in game one.

Don't like our chances in this series, but weirder things have happened.

I will say that while still very good this isnt the same Kershaw. He Velocity is down and he is only throwing 89-91

We've never won a game started by Kershaw. Hopefully there's a first time for everything.

We had him beat in 2013, but we let David Carpenter blow the game with Kimbrel never so much as warming up. Thanks Fredi.

They showed Kimbrel after Uribe hit that HR and he looked visibly pissed. I was too.

No game Saturday which is awesome. I would have chose Playoff Braves over any CFB other than Alabama but now I dont have to.

So according to some prospect websites Pache has passed Riley as our #1 position player and #2 overall behind Touki. Meanwhile, Contreras has jumped to our #3 position Player and #6 overall.

I haven't been high on Riley. He had the one 3 HR game in AAA and was fairly quiet the rest of the season there. I'm all for including him in a package for either Realmuto or Bumgarner.

He hit .294 with 19 HRs and missed a lot of time with a knee injury. He is a 30HR 100RBIs a year Guy. Once he cuts back on his K's he is going to be a special player.

And he is going to continue to drop. We should have gotten rid of him at the deaadline this year when he was percieved to be better than he really is.

When you top out at 90, you'd better have movement and pinpoint control. He has neither. If he'd scrap that straight 4 seamer and become a sinker baller, he might have a shot in the bigs, but as is, his stuff just isn't good enough to get MLB hitters out consistently.

He might prove me wrong, I'm just not as high on him as most, and I'm fine with rolling with Johan at 3rd, and if Riley can get us proven talent like Realmuto or Bumgarner, I'm all for it.

Now that the playoffs are here, I kinda wish we would have blown the Giants away with an offer for Bumgarner. I'd feel a lot better about our chances.
