One was home against the Nats, the other was his last start in Boston.

Considering the circumstances(that were completely avoidable), 1 run is a win there.

Pitching around Harper isn't a bad idea, but when you walk the guy in front of him, you really can't pitch around him anymore with no outs.

Not a bad idea to try a steal IMO. Getting in scoring position for Nick would have been huge.

That's an out I'm ok with. Inning looked like it wasn't going anywhere. Try to get into scoring position, worst case, Markakis leads off the next inning with a fresh count.

Like I say, if there's 2 outs, or if the bases are empty, or if there's one man on and 1 out, pitching around Harper is a good idea. It might burn you sometimes, but I'll take my chances with Rendon and Reynolds.

But when there's no out and you walk the guy in front of Harper, putting 2 on with nobody out is a jam that's hard to get out of without allowing a run.
