I'd stick with a 2 if I were the kind of guy that bought jerseys. If the dude lives up to the hype, the rookie jersey would be a better piece of memorabilia when his playing days are through IMO.

I was just kidding. If I bought a Braves jersey it wouldn't have another man's name on the back. I'd probably just go blank because it looks cleaner if I got one.

I had two Braves jerseys as a kid. Chipper Jones and John Rocker. I have several Braves t-shirts now, but none have any names on them.

Ender Inciarte signed to a 5 year extension.

Seeing that we're interested in signing Matt Wieters.

Definitely wouldn't like the move. Flowers was better with the bat last season and by all accounts is much better at framing pitches. Only real advantage Wieters would have is he's a switch hitter and he's better at catching base stealers.

We traded Mallex Smith and Shae Simmons to Seattle for two pitching prospects.

Not a fan of the move. Smith had potential to be an everyday outfielder for the big league club down the road and Simmons would have been a nice piece in the back end of the bullpen.

Mariners have already flipped Mallex Smith along with a couple others to Tampa for Drew Smyly.

And finally, the Braves get Luiz Gohara from the Mariners he has the most up-side of anyone traded yesterday. He sits 95 -97 mph and has touched 99. Video game numbers. May have the best pure stuff of any lefty in the minors. If he were drafted today he would be a top 5 pick. However, he has had shoulder concerns in the past, but he cleared the Braves vetting. They also get Burrows who profiles as a match-up reliever with a 88-92 mph fastball and solid slider.

WE TRADED FOR Micah Johnson from the Dodgers today for a PTBNL. Doubt he makes the opening day roster.

He was solid last season. I bet he'll be the primary catcher. Flowers is a real solid backup as well.

Kris Medlen signed to a minor league contract.

His days as a starter are probably over, but maybe he can be a nice low risk addition to our bullpen. Injuries really derailed what was a promising career.
