Irving is injured more than Wade is and there's horrible chemistry over there. Also, Cleveland has went to the Finals once and the time they went they got swept by the Spurs.

Yet he played in a higher percentage of his team's games than Wade's...

I saw that read after I posted.

All I can say, is that of course money matters...but he has more than he could ever spend. He just banked 30M for walking around in headsets.

He loves living in Miami, and if Riley shows him that he will compete for championships, there is no reason to leave.

One thing James has been consistent about it that winning is the most important factor as to where he will play.

I agree. That's why I think he stays. I just don't see any team that can put him in a better position to win another title. There may be a couple who can match Miami as far as being able to win another title and that is where the additional off the court money could potentially be a factor.

While I agree that he's already made more money than he could ever spend, when was the last time you ever heard a rich person say: "Ya know what, I've made too much money. I think I'm going to stop making money now"?

If I'm a GM that's courting him, my first order of business is to convince him that I can set him up to win now and in the future and then I use the additional off the court money as my "closer".

That's just it, there's no way that's true... especially for Wade who's barely worth the league min. these days. Wade needs to do nothing and get as much as he can. Had james not opted out, Bosh should have.. he needs a fresh start somewhere w/out lebron.

Are you fucking high? Wade averaged 20,5,5 in the ECF and had the highest PER and FG% amongst shooting guards in the league this year. He had a bad series against the Spurs. My god, some of you are absolute morons.

Its gonna be a tougher task for Wade and Bosh to take significant paycuts than for LeBron:

1) LeBron makes > $50 mill a year outside of his NBA salary... Wade and Bosh make good endorsement money too, but nowhere near that
2) LeBron is actually quite frugal for a rich dude. Not only does he make a lot of money... he puts away a lot of money. Word is that Wade/Bosh/Melo all have lifestyles that are a bit more extravagant than LeBron's
3) LeBron appears to have a many more money making years ahead of him than Wade and Bosh. Especially Wade... he might be looking at the last 2-3 years of making serious money.
4) The impact that additional titles will ultimately have on LeBron's legacy is huge. The impact on Wade and Bosh's legacy... wouldn't change much.

If Wade decides he wants to cash in now and opt in... I think LeBron will completely understand... but I doubt he'd stick around.

Of course Bosh does with all the child support he has to pay.

the best fit and always has been is Chicago (with or with out rose).

the only reason he went to Miami IMO, is because the big three made a pac to get together on one team and dominant. Wade and Bosh forced James hand when they signed in Miami " you in or out James" so to speak.

The Bulls would have a good chance to win with LeBron, but that does not mean it is the best fit. Where are the shooters?

The Clippers would be really good, but the best fit, although impossible would LBJ convincing the Heat he is going to walk and getting them to deal him straight up for Westbrook. That would really be special. Durant and LeBron would complement one another beautifully.

Oh yeah, a re-tooled Heat could be really awesome too.

Wade has one bad series and he's dead weight. Dude avg.19, 5, & 5 on 54% shooting in the regular season. In the ecf he avg 20,5, & 5 on 55% shooting. He had a bad series in the finals.....it happens

Dudes washed up. Best to come to terms with it now. (I told you this in January. You just weren't ready to listen.). And wish him the best in his retirement.

It's called the maintenance plan (something Duncan and Ginobli were on) so that he could be rested for the playoffs. Which, Wade looked great. The only reason why Wade looked bad against the Spurs is because Pop was able to engineer a defense that kept Wade from out of the paint.

Also, Irving has had more considerable injuries than Wade has. The fact that we have to debate this, considering Wade is 10 years older than Irving just proves my point.

Who does Miami have at this time for shooters that did anything in the NBA Finals? Ray Allen is old. Chalmers got benched. Bosh shoots out there to much and how many 3's did he make in the NBA Finals? Lets not act like the Heat have shooters as well.

What series did YOU watch?

Wade got to the paint every time he wanted to. He had no lift in his legs, and was frequently shooting balls short hitting front rim. He even missed consecutive layups, and it was NOT because of any defense. He simply had nothing in the tank.

All very true, but he's going to make boat loads regardless.

He's a family man. 2 sons established here in schools, sports, and friends.
His wife started a business, and is now pregnant.
All will be heavily factored in to any decision.

If Riley drops the ball, he should leave, but really ,
does anyone think he won't exceed expectations vs not living up to them?

Technically, Miami has 0-1 shooters, depending on whether you consider Cole to be a shooter.

Cole is the only player guaranteed to be on the roster by next week, with Bosh, Wade, Haslem, and Anderson all mulling options and the rest of the team becoming free agents.

Side note... isn't it generally considered "not cool" to go announcing some one else's pregnancy??

Did Riley have permission to do that? Its a trivial thing, sure, but some people get pissy when other people announce their big news for them. It was just a weird moment, IMO.

I don't. I think he trusts Riley and I think Riley will do everything in his power to get the players the Heat need. Whether it works or not will remain to be seen (just like every off-season move that any team makes), but if it doesn't work, it won't be for lack of trying on Riley's part.

Ah, but more importantly, they don't have a roster full of non-shooters like the Cavs and the Bulls. There is the opportunity for the Heat to add pieces that fit.

I will take a blank canvas over a bunch of core players that can't shoot if we are talking about best fits.

Have to make them to have a team respect them. The Spurs let Bosh, Wade, James, Chalmers shoot as many outside shots as they wanted. Like someone said above Cole is the only one left and he isnt that good. Miami has as much outside shooting as the Bulls and Cavs do at this time.
