Yea, and as I said, right now we aren't even a decent team.........we are simply on the cusp.

But there are several teams out there who are 6 and 7 win teams (Texas A&M for instance) and I look at them and think "wow, we could have easily been that team.......but we have better coaching."

I think we ll be competing for the B1G championship next year, just need more consistent play across the board .We have the talent , we just need to play 4 quarters.

Seems like its been 10 years since we played all 4 quarters.

Morning all. Was driving back from Breckenridge yesterday so had time to listen to Husker Reaction show, and a point was brought up and it made me think so I will ask. Will you all be ok with Taylor Martinez owning the majority of the records at NU at the end of his Senior year assuming he is still the starter??

I think martinez has come a long way since his first start.

Is there room for improvement? absolutely

But I am fine with him as the starter and record holder if it comes to that.

He has a lot of try in him and thats what it takes.

I will. He's QB post Cally. Running the option and play action passing like those traditional Husker QBs. I say good going.

He is probably the most improved player on our team. If the rest of the players only put in half the effort he has and does we would be no where near the team we were yesterday.

Nope, sorry. We were in a January 1 bowl because of 2 things.

1. B1G has better contracts then B12.
2. B1G got a BCS at-large bid that moved us up one slot.

We were number 5 in B1G conference games. We tied for 4th with Penn State over all.

Michigan states percentage is still higher than ours even with the CCG loss. It appears that the bowls liked us better than them anyway though since we got the Citrus bowl. Either way though we were #5 of 12.

Remember all the predictions by the B12 posters we would be middle of the pack?

Doc's recruiting is going to get better. We are going from the worst facilities in the country to the best..........at the snap of a finger. Plus the best stadium in the country.

I really believe he will start bringing in good players, and I trust that he will have us playing in the tournament for the first time in school history in a few years.
