And still you give no reason for 'Bama not to go to Boise. Trust me Boise would dump a OOC game to get the Tide up to Idaho.

Didnt need to give a reason not to go, I even stated "but if you read the article A home and home could come from this due to Battle needing an opponent". Amazing that its all there to read, yet you make this comment.

So go play Boise at Boise. Shouldn't be any problem right?

Podunk stadium, Hideous blue field. Boise has been playing football for about 50 years. They've made only 18 trips to play at an AQ's home turf in their entire life. That's almost as pathetic as Auburn trying to claim NC's for 2004, 1993 and 1983. The ball is in Boise' court. Florida State and Miami had no problem taking one and done's in their infancies. Boise should be no different.

My point is this: scheduling Boise in Boise is tantamount to scheduling a loss. And your Beavers know that very, very well

Boise State is now tantamount to scheduling Fresno State (at best). I give Kudos on getting your licks in when you could.

2013: 8-5 with double digit losses to AQ conference teams, and 2nd in their MWC division.
2012: 11-2, loss to a 7-6 AQ team, and shared MWC title.
2011: 12-1, 2nd in conference behind a TCU team that is now a combined 6-12 in conference play in the Big 12.

Amazing what happens when you have to play real competition on a month in and month out basis much less week in and week out.

Why doesn't Boise schedule the home and home with the gumps but make the buyout clause some insane amount like 5 million bucks. If the gumps indeed need a game bad, they should have no problem signing up. Boise gets to play another big boy and the gumps get that game they need. Problem solved.

Reality check, they pay the coach 7 mil per year and you think 5 million is hard to come up with if they wanted to break the game. You are talking about one of the few teams in the NCAA that posts a profit each year in its Athletic department.

Then there should be no excuse why the gumps would not take the deal.

Plus you have to think an extra $5 mill to the Boise Athletic department is a lot of cheese.

Listen, Boise State has made very impressive upgrades to the stadium and facilities recently -- facilities that are now more impressive than many BCS teams. Hence, Boise State has booked home and homes with Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Florida State, etc.

ESPN just implemented a special contract to Televise all of Boise State's home games apart from the standard MWC TV contracts.

Boise State is top winning program in the BCS era and 3rd best winning program in CFB history and undefeated in BCS bowls. No surprise, Boise is quickly becoming a new college football Mecca.

If the Gumps want a home and home with Boise State -- probably time to signup now before all slots are filled.

Gotta take up for Boise again and set something straight. Yes, Boise has played football since 1932. However, they have only played D-1 since 1997. So, in the approximately 17 years that they have played D-1 football, they have travelled to the AQ teams field 18 times. Seems pretty damn good to me.

How many times has 'Bama travelled OOC to an AQ teams home turf in the past 17 years? Betcha it's less than 18.

Sure it is, but last I checked Boise has not commented, so the deal is all in your head isnt it? My comment was to point out how easily 5 million can be had by a school that pays its coach more than that to coach the team. All they would have to do is dump Boise's game and get a one off in the Jerrydome or Atlanta. Cost recouped, no sweat.

Yeah, this is all hypothetical. I thought that was obvious enough.

Boise State has pumped many millions into building state of the art CFB facilities recently:

Just as I thought it was obvious 5 million would be nothing to an Alabama, but apparently both of us were mistaken.:suds:

Doesn't matter until you can sell out your stadium of 30k.

Ohh I'm prepared. Still, praying it's as good game. Only 80 more days.

Me too, lots of uncertainty right now on the Tide at many key positions. You guys have a good shot at an upset and caught them at a good time.
