I guess you guys heard that DE for the Jets is guaranteeing a win and apparently Rex Ryan did the same thing.

First of all, is that smart or not? I don't know.

But second, since when is saying "We will win this game" a "guarantee?" The media is so silly about "guarantees." Like the guy is going to come out and say "We're going to Foxboro to lose."

Considering it's the Patriots, I just see this type of stunt having a nil effect. I don't think they're even going to acknowledge it.

Maybe Rex thinks he has nothing to lose and hopes to get in Brady's head a little and make him worry about this DE coming after him?

Rex guarantees wins a lot and usually loses. This is good for the Pats and Rex will not be in Brady's head. He has been there and done that.

I am not saying this is an automatic win for the Pats, but I expect a comfortable win.

I'm certainly no Pats fan, but the above post might be a red flag for you to seek help for your zealous hatred of anything to do with the Pats, given that it was directed at a Bills fan who was talking about the Jets, not the Pats. LOL

You certainly seem to have developed quite a propensity lately for attacking posters who apparently don't fit into your "passive aggressive" lifestyle choices. I find it simply laughable when I watch your efforts to reach the "classy poster" status of which you so obviously desire. You seem far more concerned about your image, than defending right or wrong. You remind me of a kid who throws out some defaming comment, then hides behind a post and lets his friends get beat up for his comment. I think that in your over zealousness, you completely misinterpreted the post that you just commented on (which is more often than not the case). Just because you don't personally approve of a posters opinion does not automatically make it wrong.

Do me a favor and ignore my future posts, as I will do for yours, I have no further interest in your personally superior judgements of those around you.

I especially liked "biased commentary." Excuse me. From now on I'll only have "objective opinions." What a bunch 'o bullshit. :rolleyes2:

I'm just a little confused as to how one would "consume" their information sources

I expect a thrashing. Like I said when the Patriots barely escaped with their lives Sunday, I feel bad for their opponent in Week 2. Patriots players want nothing to do with Belichick if they lose this game.

Such a bad move against the Pats or any good team for that matter. Rex is praying for a win to keep his job.

I hope you are right. I dont see it that way. Brady will be throwing to even more new people tonight. He is a short route kinda QB where timing is everything.

I think that if the pats were capable of giving a team a thrashing, I would agree with you. under their current limitations, I dont think it is very possible.

Anyone who thinks The Patriots will win this game handily is new to the NFL. I'm not chilling any champagne.

Respect. I'd say the same thing if I were a Patriots fan. That covers you if/when they win by another field goal.

"No one predicted a blowup. We knew this would be a hard-fought game."

Worst-case scenario is the Patriots win by 10. Prove me wrong, Jets! :hope:

OK, maybe my comment was not worded correctly. What I meant is that he consumes only the information he wants to from his sources and rarely paints a full picture of what the story or source is actually saying.

Worst case scenario for you or for me? ;)

But yeah - it's a division game, and The Patriots have managed to lose plenty of games to The Jets when they were a far better team than tonight. "Mr. Fitzgerald, you have a telephone call…he says his name is Tom"

Damn, the Jets only have to cover Edelman tonight since everyone else is out.

As long as it isnt a ridiculous circus the Jets get the moral victory, and that's something they get less of than actual wins.

Over under on how many posts after I make a negative, yet benign statement about the Pats before "Your violent hatred of the Pats is the most disturbing thing I've ever encountered and I'm so scared I probably won't sleep for the next week."

Spend a lil time in New England and you'll quickly see they should put Valium in the drinking water there.

If I was betting Id take the Jets and the points, cause including preseason the widest margin in a Pats game was when they were beat down by Detroit..........But they have won every other game, just not by very much.
