It's the base guideline.

It is universally used as at the very least, the starting point.

Let me ask you this. Is there a difference in their salaries? Does the No. 1 get more money than the No. 3? Is that static?

The draft trade value is pretty fucking static. 20 years, and it hasn't veered an inch.

Their salaries are based on slot because there no fair way to do it otherwise.

Oh come on man. Not every chart is the same year after year especially this year. It doesn't take a rocket genius to figure that out. So Trubisky is worth more than 400 points than Thomas or anyone else after him now? Uggh you are just wasting my time as usual with your weak ass arguments because you can't admit when overlooked something. Get lost clown.

Your logic is fucking retarded. So their monetary value is based on their rank and is static, but their trade value isn't, and is based on feelings and opinions?

Look out, the genius strikes again.

But that one spot is worth a lot.

nfl trade value chart - Google Search

You can't get to No. 2 without giving up some picks. Was it worth it? There are so many variables into that question. It's not as simple as yes, or no. If it's the guy they truly coveted and there was even a semblance of a chance that you would lose him over one spot!?!... (Just as in the Aaron Donald draft I referenced earlier) Goddamnit, go get him!

The picks are not the end of the world. It now has ostensibly worked out to be a 3rd this year and a 3rd next year, which at any point in the next year, we could recoup through other moves.

It really is being overblown, because most "experts" (which, ftr are akin to weathermen or Jehovah's Witnesses' prophets, in that they have zero accountability to their predictions) believe this is a poor QB class. Well, I personally have noticed that-that may now be a trend, as they said the same shit last year, for weeks leading up to the draft, wherein QB's ended up going 1 and 2.

The picks given up are recoverable and will mean absolutely nothing if the kid turns out to be the second coming of Aaron Rodgers. If you don't believe he will be worth a shit, that is certainly a viable opinion and you are obviously entitled to that opinion, but I don't think the picks given are that big of a deal, other than personal preferences out what respective folks think they COULD'VE gotten insteaf of Trubs.
Omfg when did you grow a gaping sand packed vagina. There are no real indicationss that mitch will be great. there is also a good chance he is there at the next pick anyway. I think its stupid. You paid glennon a chunk of change, and he is going to start. Trubisky is not going to play, unless glennon sucks and they force him out on the field tok soon. He has little experience and on some video i watched, he fucking panics and chucks it up for grabs under pressure. This whole thing could blow up i. Their face, and it was not worth it to me. We will all see. I think it was desperate and dumb.

Ya, yer right. Fuck the Bears, Go Raiders.

Why do I have a vagina, for not thinking the fucking sky is falling?

I liked last year's draft a lot. I mean like, best in decades. I can appreciate a team taking their worst season in for-fucking-ever, and applying towards a QB. It's 50/50 no matter what we gave up, which is now the equivalent of a 3rd and a 3rd next year. Nothing outlandish about that.

I just can see why they'd do it. It may be the worst pick ever, but that shit doesn't hamstring teams like it used to. You can recover quickly from shitty picks, and we aren't anywhere near the top anyway.

Maybe I just don't give a fuck as much, but I do really think last year's draft was the best we've had in 30 years, and so I'm inclined to let it be.

This idiotic notion of "if he turns into a franchise QB then..." somehow this was worth it, is starting to catch fire so let me extinguish it now.

Even if Trubisky eventually turns into a Joe Montana, we still overpaid to move up one spot to get him. End of story.

Nope....sorry........But if turns out to be a franchise qb,then it was well worth it.......if he doesn`t....oh well we tried and gave a couple mid round picks for him.......no biggies.
Qbs are hard to come by......I kinda figured you should know this..............Mr.(we have not had a qb how long now)Big Bear fan.
And how many of these so-called 3rd and 4th round picks ever stay with the team........?...........Not many is my guess.....So whi cares about the few extra picks we gave up to begin with..........

What should really piss all of us off is the fact we traded a great positional 2nd round pick to move further down the ladder to pick up the picks we gave away for Tru..........Dumb,just plain eff`ing dumb.

He is betting everything on the QB now. A running back and a guard, with sitton, whitehair, grasu, long and not another tackle, unless he thinks someone can move to tackle?

Vic Fangio has probably punched a few holes in the walls in his office.

No biggies? A few mid-round picks?

Uh... Pretty sure we also used the 2nd overall pick on him dude. lol. A QB at that spot IS a big commitment, and if it fails it will cost many people jobs, and set the franchise back to square one with another new rebuild.

I don't even think I need to address the comment about 3rd and 4th round picks not being valuable... come on dude.

Mid round picks to me is 3rd thru the 6th.........

And yeah all picks matter.........Cause you wouldn`t have a Tom Brady or a Richard Dent with out them. But it seems from about the 3rd on down, those picks either do not make the team or they just don`t last long on the team...........So actually those picks we traded, meh.

I don't even remember the last 3rd round pick we've had that didn't make the team. Possibly never.

I am honestly convinced you really don't follow the draft. 3rd round picks are expected to turn into starting players dude...

A QB could put us in playoff contention for the next 10 years. No other position can say that.

Vic needs the offense to score and stay on the field. It's a team sport. Helping the offense is helping Vic.
