Manning's legacy.

Step 1: beat his former team that dumped him, the Dolts.

Step 2a: At NE, enough said.

Step 2b: Obviously we owe the Ravens.

Step 3: Possibly beat the Hawks in the SB.

This can be a big postseason of redemption for Manning and the Broncos.

Haha I think the Broncos have as good of a chance as any team left in the playoffs. I would say just looking at the AFC games the Broncos got the easier draw of any of the teams still left. Now that doesn't mean they have an easy win but I think many would agree the Broncos should handle the Colts this weekend. Should and will are two different things but we shall see what happens. Now the Ravens/New England game could go either way. I still think New England emerges in that one but I would say the Ravens stand almost as good of a chance as us of going in and knocking off New England. Super Bowl wise I do like our chances against Seattle on a neutral field. We played them pretty darn well earlier this year and I think our defense has only gotten better and our offense has definitely worked its way to getting balanced keeping teams guessing of what will come at them. That is a long ways away though so as for this week liking our chances big time.

I think the two things that will help Denver achieve their goal will be the run game to help out a very good D. Remember, even in that lopsided SB loss to Seattle, the D played very well in first half. The offense didn`t do them any favors as they were on field to much and having to defend short field pretty much entire 1st half and still gave Seattle a battle. In the 2nd half, totally different. Along with the opening returner for td/ buzz kill by Seattle, they just wore down. I think their a totally dif team this yr with the strong run game and that balance will be the key in them achieving their goal this yr. I like their chances very much. I don`t think Indy will be able to hang this time around but in the AFC Div playoff, no matter who or where....it will be a hell of a fight. Go Denver...Go O-line/CJ and co and make Lucks day a miserable one DENVER DDDDDDD!!!!!!

For sure. Just to be clear even with my b!tching I think the Broncos are a very good team even with JDR's soft D. I have done a lot of corporate training. Just because you are profitable and making money doesn't mean that you can't implement best practices and efficiencies to be even better. It also doesn't mean that you aren't misusing your talent. My hope is that they use an aggressive D and this team can beat anyone anywhere. Heck they maybe able to get it done either way.

Something tells me the have been a little board and waiting to get to this point. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if they laid some wood in this postseason run.

Although it may not seem so I'm an optimist by nature and can't wait until Sunday. :suds:

I have heard a lot of people use the term that the season was just a 16-game preseason for the Broncos to get them to the real season. Heck even Fox used those words "real season" when they asked him about the playoffs. I do think this team has kind of just tried to endure the season to get to this point. Especially with our Bye Week being so early in the season and spending so much of the 2nd half on the road. That is a huge grind for any team to go through. Listening to players and coaches talk though they seem very rejuvenated and a bit more pep to their step. Hopefully that isn't a bunch of acting but true of the mindset they are in right now.

Personally, I'd rather see the Broncos beat Indy and stay home against the Ravens. Then beat Dallas in the SB. Finally get big game revenge for SB XII:suds:

For sure. There are a lot of "revenge" scenarios and any of those would work for me.

One thing the Broncos haven't done since the 1997 team is win a playoff game on the road. While it would be nice to see them play at home should they beat the Colts and advance to the AFCCG, winning one on the road would likely be a massive boost of confidence for this team.

Either way, it's all useless if they don't beat the Colts!

The Broncos need to just worry about the Colts. No point on looking ahead. The Colts is all that matters at this time and Luck can be a handful to deal with. Just saying.

You are correct, Malibu. However, Broncos fans can look as far forward as they please since they offer nothing that affects the outcome of the game!

I don't think there's any true fans that don't fantasy or look ahead at what " could be" or wishful thinking beyond their teams next game, especially come playoff time. I go to bed thinking about Colts and beyond. Yeah your right,it doesn't change anything but it's just damn normal to look ahead at " what if",etc. Your the same but you just want to be practical and that's too boring Malibu.:

I agree 100%. I, nor this thread will have absolutely no bearing on the outcome of the game. :agree:

What the he!! would sports be if fans didn't conjecture, speculate or look ahead?
