Yep he is missing some in camp. Big ones too. I worry about all kickers though. Always have. The thing is many games come down to that guy too. It drives me crazy to watch teams get inside the 30 in OT and start running the ball to set up the field goal. I get why they do it and it is about 80 percent if not more. Those guys coming off the edge are so close.
Totally agree. Why don't they try (conservatively of course) to get it to about a 30 yarder or maybe a walk in rushing TD I'll never understand. Even if a FG is 90%, it's not like RBs fumble on 10% of rushes when being cautious

I swear it’s hard to watch crucial extra points for me now.

I guess though if you play it “by the book” , you should kick it. I still go back to the last game of the 93-94 regular season - the Emmitt Game - vs the Giants. HFA on the line and they trotted out Eddie Murray for the win. It seems like it was about 38 yards but I was sick at my stomach before the kick.

Wow. Why cut him now? Maybe it was all the crap he was talking this offseason? Or maybe the suspension sealed his fate

Not to overreact, but I don't think this team can afford going into the season with Maher as the kicker.

I totally agree. I don't follow kickers in training camp so I don't know how he is doing (I'm assuming bad?) but I was not confident in this guy at all at the end of last year. There are always kickers out there and we should have brought in a vet to compete. He needs to be better.

He's been mediocre and Matt Bryant tweeted out something to the Cowboys too. So I hope like hell the Cowboys get Bryant.

It’s during the team functions when he is missing. They will put a time and score on the clock and start at a certain spot. For example - they will have the score of 21-19 and we are losing with a 1:25 on the clock and 1 timeout. Dak has driven them twice inside the 25 and he has missed 2 chip shots for the win.
