I hope the writers don't kill off the new villain played by Christine Woods too soon. She's a hottie!

Let me start by saying this whole storyline is not in the comics, so anything I say on this arc is just conjecture and extrapolation on my part.

I am almost certain that it is Noah with Daryl. This has been rumored since last week when that scene happened, and the events of this ep, I think, darn near confirms it. Daryl does seem disturbed, somehow, so I am not sure that he and Noah are on good terms. I think that they are with each other out of neccesity, though, and Daryl is trusting him to get the group to the hospital to free Beth and Carol.

Noah is going back home, which is Virginia. Convenient. He did say that they have walls back home. AFZ, anyone? (Sorry, slight comic referance, there)

When Noah got away, I thought Beth was looking at him with betrayal. However, on TTD, Emily Kinney said specifically that she was looking at him with a smile, glad that at least he got away. If they need to explain the scenes after the fact, that is either bad acting or bad directing. They are falling into this too much this season.

Overall, a rather slow and boring ep, IMHO, but is building up to something, so I am OK with that. It is impossible to have a HR with every episode. After 5.1 and 5.2, they have earned a few bad/off weeks.

I thought it was pretty clear that she was smiling. That isn't really difficult to see and in no way is it the director's fault that you didn't recognize her smiling. Perhaps it was bad viewing?

And I completely disagree about this episode being boring. We finally get to see where Beth is and it's an entirely new world with brand new characters. I thought this episode was great.

Dafuq u talkin bout?
This:
Whats so great about this show? I havent seen it but somebody sell me on it and i will watch. Dont say zombies, i will slap the shit out of you!

Why should anyone sell you on it? If you're interested, watch it. If you're not, don't. Nobody cares either way.

It has zombies in it. I'll be awaiting that slap, chief.

Is she the cop? She's way hotter in that picture than she is on the show.

I don't really see her living long. Gareth was a much better villain and he got what, 4 episodes? Beth is gonna put some hurting on Officer Bitch soon IMO

I think Daryl & Carol found Noah, he told them what was going on and where to find Beth, and Carol let herself get caught while Daryl & Noah went back to the church to get the cavalry together for an all out assault on the hospital. It wasn't a great episode, but it wasn't a bad one either. It gave us a look at what is going on outside of Rick's group. Looking at the previews for next week, it looks like we will have 3 story lines going on.

While I'm sure it must be Noah too, I'm a bit confused by this. Not that it really matters but just curious as to why a character that never appeared before would have been rumored to be the mystery person, especially if none of this is in the comics (thanks for mentioning that because I was curious about that too). Is Noah at least a comic book character? Or was Noah never specifically named in these rumors, but what you meant was that it was simply rumored that Daryl returned with someone from the clan that has Beth?

Daryl is probably disturbed for a number of reasons including the one you mentioned. Nobody ever seems too trusting of anyone new anymore. But if he does believe Noah then he now knows Beth is not only being held captive, but that she was recaptured while trying to escape which would likely make her stay even more unpleasant than it already was, and now Carol has joined her. But at least he now knows where they are, and that they aren't being eaten.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty clear that Beth was smiling.

Then again, I couldn't tell whether or not Darryl was smiling, disturbed or hadda go to the bathroom, so what do I know?

Anyway, I thought the episode was kinda slow at first, but really caught my interest as it progressed. My early thoughts are that all the groups end up in Atlanta for the finale.

Really enjoying this season so far.

kinda felt better that it was not a flashback when Carol showed up, but then again, it still could have been since she was also gone. Beth keeps it interesting, I just hope it doesnt go back to last year with the follow one group each week so we forget what the other groups are doing. Seems like Abraham was prominent in the previews.

The casting of Noah was announced a few months back (he is the kid from Everybody Hates Chris). Who Noah was, or when we would see him was completely unknown, though.

No. Noah is not in the comics.

It is certainly possible (likely, even, judging by the other responses).

However, I thought betrayal fit better. Beth helped him escape and even during the zombie battle during the escape, slowed her own progress to assist his getaway. Meanwhile, he side-stepped walkers to save his own hide, and did not even look to consider attempting to save her at the end. He looked back, but more in a "well, that sucks" manner. Not quite to the level of Shane/Otis, but still a bit of a "sucks to be you".

Judging by the responses here, I was the only one to read the scene that way. That's alright. Not the first scene I have misread in my life.

She was. I'm not sure where Carol is but I think Noah was found by Daryl...why would Carol be in hiding at this time and Daryl saying "come on out"unless it was someone nobody knew? This new group in Atlanta sure got the slavery part down quickly.

Did you miss the end? They were bringing Carol in on a stretcher.

They killed off Bob, are they that conscious of keeping enough characters of each demographic then?

I thought this exact thing.

Remember, this same thing was a running joke during season 3. T-dog gets killed, so Tiny becomes a "regular" part of the group. Tyreese gets introduced, Tiny eats a bullet.

Season 4 kinda got away from that equation, with the addition of Bob, but now they are right back at it.
