I have revised my prediction: instead of all the groups converging in Atlanta, I think that Noah, Beth and Carol will all pop out when Daryl says "Come on out".

Noah will then woo Beth away from the group and they will star in a spin-off entitled "Everybody Hates Noah-Especially Jealous Beth Fans".

I am just a little messed up in the timeline. We know Daryl had someone, we might not see who that is for three weeks, but if it is one of the three then this is technically a flash back. That even had me thinking that maybe this happened before Carol saved them at terminus because she was clearly looking to get away from the group when Daryl caught her looking at that car with the jump starter in the trunk. I think she would have left at that point if Daryl did not walk up behind her asking what she was doing.

I don't think this is possible. She was with Ty since well before the cabin burning (remember, they saw the smoke from the cabin that Darryl and Beth set aflame). And there is no indication that she and Ty split up between that and the fall of Terminus.

I think that the beginning of the episode (Beth waking up) took place a day or so after the kidnapping event that took place just before Darryl joined up with Joe. I figure the events of the episode took at least a week (her wounds looked to heal a little bit, and she was some-what trusted to be left alone). That looks to line-up, mas-o-menos, with the timeframe represented with the main group.

I think D and C followed the car with the cross and the "Hospites" get the drop on them and take Carol. Darryl then somehow meets up with Noah, Noah tells him his story, and they decide to go get the cavalry.

This could be complete BS, but it seems to hit most issues. The only "hole" is that D and C have only been missing from the main group for approx. 2 days. Is that enough for all of this to have taken place?

Seems to me that the entire Beth storyline is a flashback. Gotta remember, she was taken awhile back and has been spending some time at the hospital. I think everything is a back story up until the point where Daryl says "Come on out". That is the return to the present.

But thats kinda what I mean, She was there working, maybe it was supposed to show more time passing when she was giving shots to the patient. It seemed she just woke up, then started working, then tried to escape before Carol showed up.

the flashback either included carol or took us to present when carol came in on the stretcher.

The Beth storyline is technically a flashback but in my opinion it isn't your traditional flashback like we saw with the Terminus bunch a few times in the season premiere.

To me it's more of a "catch-up" than a flashback. They had 2 simultaneous storylines but just happened to show 1 first and are now catching us up with the other. They are still moving forward (and forward only) with every single character that appeared in this episode, including Carol. Carol's brief appearance at the end almost certainly happened after she was last seen with the main group. Even in the slight chance it was not, I'm sure that's what we are intended to believe at this point.

It's very similar to what we saw with The Governor last season. There was no sign of him for the 1st hand full of episodes then they devoted a couple of episodes to him so his time line could catch up to that of the main group and then have the 2 meet. The only difference at this point is that he did briefly appear lurking outside the prison at the end of an episode that featured the prison group before they went back and got us caught up. So technically, his character's timeline didn't only move forward but for the most part it did. The same thing will likely happen with Daryl this season. He appeared at the end of an episode that featured the main group after a bit of an absence. He'll no doubt be part of the Beth/Carol/Noah storyline too, which would have been the events during his absence that led upto that appearance.

Pretty sure I got this Dawn chick figured out. Not long before the apocalypse she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. That's probably 1 of the reasons she set up shop at the hospital hoping to find treatment for her condition. Or maybe she was already there when the breakout happened. When they pulled that guy in that fell out of a building she desperately wanted to save him after 1 of the cops whispered something to her about him. We find out later this guy was an oncologist. Not sure if she was a high ranked officer before the apocalypse or somehow managed to become the boss during the apocalypse but either way she's in charge and has her officers out looking for help for her. In return she finds them "nurses" to have their way with. When she's talking about a "savior" coming to the hospital, she isn't talking about someone coming to put an end to the apocalypse. She's talking about someone coming to cure her condition. That's the only "greater good" she's concerned with at this point.

This is a better write up of this theory than in the other thread.

Very interesting.

I still think it is a bit of a stretch, but I had also forgotten about that little whisper. Maybe the current doc wants her dead as well, so killing this new doc kills 2 birds -- 1) keeps him in a cush position in the group; 2) puts Dawn in a dangerous position and potentially kills her.

The thing for me is why would Daryl have to say "Come on out"? Unless he was trying to hide someone or has someone held hostage. Makes no sense for him to say that if it's Carol or Beth or anyone else we know. Unless maybe the someone is injured and he was checking to make sure everything was clear.

Maybe Morgan let his guard down somehow and was confronted and apprehended by Daryl, after crossing paths ?
Or maybe Daryl & Morgan have joined forces...and he just wanted Daryl to make sure the coast was clear?

Darryl has never met Morgan.

Besides, Morgan is "months" behind our group. They will not meet up until near season-end, barring some serious delay on the groups part.

You don't know that....it's just speculation about him being "months behind the group" or maybe you think that scenario will parallel the comic, if that's in fact what happens? From what I've read on blogs, the comic is it's own entity with very little to moderate carryover to the show.

Btw: I never said they knew or met each other previously.

I think something goes down at the hospital after Carol arrives. Possible that Dawn does something terrible to Beth and/or Carol....there were plenty of rapey innuendos, so maybe they r*pe the shit outta Beth, and Darryl catches em in the act or something? Maybe that's why he appeared shaken...maybe they are on the lamb too...the cops are hunting em, down or something, thus the hesitation to come out in the open? I dunno...I was bummed it didn't get to that in this last episode.
