In regards to Soto I would love to have the guy as he is a talent but I cannot say yes or no. I would have to see what would be involved to get him. And all of you have made some decent statements on why you would or would not want him which in essence was it just depends on what we would have to give up and would he sign an extension as part of the deal.

I saw Kole Calhoun at DFW yesterday around 4:30-5. At the baggage claim with what looked like a chauffeur waiting with him. Pretty cool.

I was going to say something about that earlier only because the East Coast Bias (ESPN) stated can anyone catch the Yankees. The Yankees have a better overall record but the Astros owned them. As much as I hate the Astros the Yankees may have the same problem they have had the past few years in the playoffs and that is pitching.

According to NY Post insider Jon Heyman, the Texas Rangers are 10-1 favorites to land Juan Soto in a trade with the Nationals.

Let me point out that this is an opinion piece. the Rangers are only "favorites" because they have the quantity/quality of prospects that would be needed, and have shown the ability to make big moves.

We do not need Soto to be contenders. He would be a nice player to have but not worth selling the farm. It is my personal opinion that our FO is on tract to bring us a winner. Looking at how well they have done with our prospects and Seager/ Semien addition, it is encourageing that contention is just around the corner without breaking the bank. No to Soto.
