Ryan O'Reilly is officially available from the Avs. If the Sharks want to make changes he's the perfect player to begin with. Asking price is rumoured to be a roster player and top prospect.

Raymond, Lapierre, and Bozak? Holy crap, if you're bitching about the bottom six this much now I'd hate to see what you'd be like with those three in it.

From the begining of the season, even during the winning streak, the coaching staff didn't seem to be on the same page. That looks even more evident now during the loosing streak. From the outside looking in it appers Johnson and Robinson want to play a certain way and McLellan is fighting it. There are a couple players who don't fit Johnson's style for the offense and it's pretty obvious who they are; Clowe, Murray, and Handzus. Handzus isn't going anywhere and has actually been an asset to the team but his inability to fit into the offence means he should be on the 4th line between two guys who are fast and physical. That leaves you Clowe, Murray, one of Demers or Braun, probably Galiardi, and picks/prospects to get perferably younger talent who better fits the offensive scheme.

At this point if Robinson is dead set on not being a HC then give Johnson that spot. Keep Robinson handling the dmen and put Ricci behind the bench to handle the forwards. If the ship is still sinking at the end of the year then consider blowing it up in the offseason when those players will hold more value and can garner higher level picks, prospects, and younger NHL ready talent.

Pretty much spot on, Tmac is coaching not to lose his job,the minute he abandoned the cycle was the minute he cut his own throat. Your not going to win every game, you will lose some. Grow a set Tadd you have the ability to coach a winner dont play/coach the game scared

Raymond is a one trick pony. He has speed and thats it. His only production has come when playing on a scoring line not while he's been on the 3rd line.

Bozak can produce somewhat respectably when paired with higher teir linemates. Put him on a third line where he's needed to carry more of the load offensively if not be the catalyst for it and he's is going to be next to useless.

Lapierre and Desjardins are exactly the same player only the Canucks have a better system in place for their 4th line and laps has slightly better linemates.

How is it theres only about 4-5 people on this site that understand minutes played on certain lines reflect upon production? People see oh he played 12minutes and scored great for a 3rd liner, but fail to realize those 12 minutes was on the first line and first PP unit.

Truly frustrating when trying to talk to a stats junkie

What kind of player is this guy? Seems like he wants more money than the Avs think he's worth. They just hooked up Parenteau and DJones with some fat contracts but don't have enough money for their up and coming young center?

Either OReilly's demands are unreasonable or the Avs don't have their priorities straight.

A bit of both, IMO.

O'Reilly is a strong skating very skilled play making center. He has a good nose for the net and will take his fair share of shots but he looks to pass first. He is outstanding defensively with an increadible work ethic. Last year with the Avs he was a very outspoken and fiery leader both on and off the ice.

Sounds like a very valued commodity. First, the Avs may ask more to trade him to another Western team. Second, I think it may take more than Demers + 1st to fetch him due to a bidding war for O Reilly.

No doubt DWIl will kick the tires here to see that can be had. Also good that DWil and the Avs GM have some history (McGinn trade).

If Doug is looking I bet he is looking for a right handed shooting forward.
