Yep. Crosby is 37, Malkin 38, Letang 37 and Karlsson 34. Even their second wave of guys like Rust, Rakell, Eller, Hayes, Acciari and others are north of 30 or fast approaching it. They have to be one of the oldest teams in the Nhl and with not much on the farm to replace them. They won their damn Cups, but they sure as hell paid for it.

Whether or not Danny's rebuild can get us to cup contention hinges on the 2025 draft IMO. Or at least what they do with the 3 1sts and 3 2nds. Need to pick up a couple more star level guys one way or another.

Agreed.

No guarantee any of those picks plays right away.
But, they have to get the picks right and/or use those assets in trades.

Looks like our top two lines to start the season are
Michkov, poehling, tippet
Koneckny, Coots, Farabee
It was also noted that both konecny could switch with tippet, but they also said they wanted a youth line. Foerster was another mention who could switch with Farabee on the second line. A lot of it seemed like speculation because I'm pretty sure some of these players are the same positions?
