Necas is a 26 year old 2C with size (6'3) that can skate extremely well. Maybe still has an outside shot of 1C. Scoring over a point per game pace this year.

Unfortunately, I don't think the Flyers have a piece that good to offer. Maybe TK if his contract certainty is enough to offset the wing vs center premium.
Not even if we threw in Frost and Farabee and first rounders?

Farabee and Luchenko?

Yea I gotta agree with Awaz, TK is about the only piece we would have been able to offer to make it work, don't think frost or farabee or both would cut it.

What about Farabee and Luchenko and a second rounder ?

Since Colorado is still trying to win cup(s) while Mackinnon and Makar are in prime-ish age, I'd think they're looking for similarly prime-aged guys. So Luchanko isn't really a big help to them. Draft picks, same thing. Farabee, may be interesting as a reclamation project, but he has 18 points this year. He doesn't hold a candle to Necas if you're trying to win this year.

If I'm Colorado and comparing Necas to the Flyers available assets, TK is the only guy I'd even consider framing a trade around. I'd actually be pretty interested in that if I'm Colorado. Might be giving up a better player, but TK is signed for 8.75M basically through those prime years for Colorado's contention. Twitter thinks Rantanen wants 14M this summer.

Wouldn't really make sense for the Flyers though. I'd rather have TK in the Flyers situation.

We are struggling, that is for sure. We are 7th in the Metropolitan Division with a .500 record, but what I am always encouraged by is to look south and see those clowns in Pissburgh on the freakin cellar of the same division!! Yea Baby!!

But we have to beat them head to head. My neighbor swapped out his Stillers banner for the Pens banner. I have the magnetic flyers logo ready to go on his garage door.

That is impressive. Once we make the playoffs his ice time will go up considerably.
That and I think this season will give him a good chance to acclimate to a more rigorous schedule then he's used to. He's young so it should only take him this season to really get in the NHL grove.
