looking forward to checking out this TTech walk on freshman QB though.

Kid won the Texas HS State championship:shocked:

Got drafted into MLB, recruited by several schools for baseball (WSU included) then decided he wanted to go to college and play football.

Only got offers from FAU and NM State. Didn't like what he saw there and walked on at TTech. SO far 700+ pass yards. And he is mobile.

His name is Baker Mayfield. If that name doesn't sound like a kid from Texas I don't know what does.

Will be rooting for the Red Raiders and this Baker kid.

:agree:

Well done sir!

This is true also, remember that USC dude, NorthwestTrucker or sumpin like that? Dude was on suicide watch after SC lost their first game last year.:laugh3:

Speaking of ole SeeBS dudes anyone ever hear of that guy who kinda is responsible for our PAC pickem contest here on the hoop? Think his name was somethin like Beers&Bears, do we even have a Cal fan all up in here?

I remember that!! Posted something about an NC run not being possible after all and didn't post again!! I guess some folks take it pretty serious!!

His farewell speech was a classic. Not only did he quit the board, but he said he was giving up college football in general as he couldn't take the heartbreak anymore. Good God man! Just do what cougs do and have a drink or 10 and fight on!

Pains me to say, but the NFL game is much more intriguing.

Closer game is the TTech TCU game IMO.

Will watch the CFB game primarily.

Me too, will probably flip back and forth a bit.

Mayfield already over 100 yards and it's still the first quarter. Man TCU looks to be sliding out of the polls after tonight unless things change big time.

10 - Nuts Red Raiders!

Ha ha I remember that!! That's exactly what he said!

I thought "heartache?" SC fan didn't know heartache those days, it was their first loss of the frickin season!:wtf2:

I remember thinking just look no further than your own freaking conference and you'll see plenty of 'heartache' for fans of most teams but not SC!

Maybe trucker was the smart one. It was the first loss of the year, but look at how far that program has slid since. He saw the handwriting on the wall?

Crap, this thread is just 8 shy of 4k posts. Some of us need to take up a more productive hobby?

I could see why a husky fan would say that. its got to be hard cheering for a 7-6 team year after year. I would want to take up something else too.

First of all since when has that ever stopped people from taunting or trolling? Second of all what does their road woes have to do with a home game vs Oregon later? You saying a team can't lay an egg on the road and beat teams above them at home? Ask Stanford and Oregon State about that vs this same team.

I was talking about playing Illinois on the road.

Are you 10 years old or just have no appreciation of history?
