Listening to sports talk here and Sandy confirmed Noah did not give Mets opportunity to match offer. So I was good with him leaving but now I think screw him also.

I think in order to address our pitching and improve the offense we need to move guys. JD Davis, Dom Smith and McNeil should all be on the table

Sign a starting pitcher and trade for one. We'll also need to shed some salary if we're looking to bring in a Bryant or a Marte (or both).

I'd hate to see Dom traded, and I'd be okay either way on McNeil..but as far as Davis goes...I say adios.

Also..I wish MLB would make a decision one way or the other on if they plan on bringing back the DH in the NL.
That could help facilitate a lot of signings/contract deals for the next few years and beyond.

Yikes...and didn't he say just recently that he hoped and wanted to continue his career with the Mets??

Whatever....all we can do now is wish him well....or Not. :heh:

I saw Matz rumors thrown out there. Cohen confirmed they will be spending big. Honestly go throw stupid money at Scherzer and sign Jon Gray. DeGrom-Scherzer-Stroman-Gray-Walker/Carrasco/Matz?

Matz to the Cardinals on a 4 year deal. I know they had interest in Stroman so not sure if this move impacts a potential Stroman move?

Is matz really that big a loss??

Not really but if an agent verbally told you there was a done deal and then you found out he signed elsewhere that's a great way to burn a financially lucrative bridge.

Meh.....not sure if he was really that high of a priority signing anyway.
Besides, it seemed he spent more than half his time on the IL when he was on the team.
Cohen shouldn't be so sensitive when it comes to player's agents....and move on.
At the end of the day they're only doing what's best for their clients, even if if they go back on something they may or may not have said....and Matz returning to the Mets was more of a sentimental thing, but really wasn't in this team's best interests imho.

That said...
Have a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving, Mets fans.

My first reaction was, "who?"...then I remembered.....oh yeah, that guy.

Sounds good if he's playing 3B.....but now I see why he was possibly signed...
