I had a toshiba, won't make that mistake again

Dell XPS line is rock solid though. wouldn't recommend their lower tier stuff.

well, this was ages ago to be honest (~2001) and things may be different, but
mine got 3 stuck pixels right in the middle of the screen about 2 days after the initial manuf warranty ended. i had the extra warranty from the store, but they claimed that it was wear and tear, not defect.
at the time, laptop screens were ~500$ to replace. I couldn't afford to fix it, had to deal with it for about 2 more years.

it was the first laptop we bought 8 years ago .. we didnt know much about computers then .. still dont but know enough to make me dangerous ..lol it just crashed all the time .. the battery sucked

they aint cheap and the age of the computer defines if its worth gettin another battery.. if its 1 1/2 yrs old its gettin to that point
