I was reading that we may have a shot at McGinn or Brower as FA's. Both have 20 goal ability and would fall in the budget until more cap space is cleared.

Tweets won't load but i assume they are about the Subban for Weber and Hall for Larsson deals?

Hextall needs to get on the damn phone, there are GM's making really bad trades out there today. See if you can trade Matt Read to Edmonton for Jordan Eberle. Then turn around and try to trade Stolarz for Price. It could happen.

At going rates, AMac might return a 1st rounder today. Call up Boston.

ah ya, that one is the small news today, ironically enough. Cool for TB, and I'm actually pretty stoked about that. Means he wont go to Toronto or Detroit. I would not have liked that.

If those are the terms for Stamkos, that is steal! 8.5 for a 50 goal scorer...damn

I can't get over how lopsided those trades are. Easily #1 and #2 worst trades I can think of right now. Those are both worse than Gomez for McDonagh at the time (Gomez still had promise and McDonagh was a prospect).

Sounds like Morin Read and a draft choice could've had Hall.

Imagine down the line we are log jammed with Provorov, Sanheim, Morin, and Gostibehere and have the benefit of pawning off one of them for an elite offensive talent.

Top pairing defensemen are the league's premium asset.

Im still in shock Edmonton gave up Hall for Larsson straight up. Don't get me wrong Larsson played a solid game and has the potential. But i was expecting picks involved. Not sure what edmnton was thinking seemed like a bit of a lopsided trade. Still kind of shocked

I think a lot of had to do with Hall's cap hit and Edmonton needing to move it before Friday, while also finding someone that had the space and wasn't enamored with the FA market.

No way we could afford Hall and Schenn. Would have had to have been on or the other. Risky business when known chemistry exists with Schenn and G/Couts. Also, Schenn will be cheaper and provide more flexibility moving forward.
