need couturier and read back in a hurry. they're showing no depth up front right now. basically relying on G's line or the PP to pot a goal and PEB's line to play half the game shutting down everyone else.

NJ was giving a second and third effort all night long and we were only giving the first. Tough to win when we're losing every race and every battle, but I saw a lot of in the night before through two periods, so this is really a carry over and we got burned for it.

I'm actually sort of glad that this happened before the break so we can work on it now as opposed to later.

I don't want to freak anyone out here, but this team needs a bit of a wake up call. We're relying too much on the skill of the top line and Mase, absolutely. We need to hustle more here. Teams should not be outworking us.

Provorov gets it, I'm not so sure about the rest of the bunch.

Besides, the story now is not going to be our 10 game winning streak. Columbus has already surpassed that. Now, it's that we've lost 3 of 4 and got blanked for only the second time this season against a team that had been completely lifeless for weeks.

It's time to get our guys back healthy and everyone putting in the second and third efforts night in and night out.

I still can't believe we're 20-12-4 after a 10 game win streak and sit 5th in the Metro...Lol

The odds of that shit happening have to be so incredibly slim.

We're going to have to win the majority of our division games moving forward to stay in the playoffs and maybe grab a top three seed.

So, here's the eye-opening stat of this year:

Sam Gagner last season: 8 goals and 8 assists for 16 points in 53 games for the Flyers.

Sam Gagner this season: 14 goals and 12 assists for 26 points in 31 games for the BJ's.

He's never scored more than 18 goals in a season mind you and his career high in points was 49, in his rookie season, 9 whole years ago.

The guy is on pace for around 36 goals and 67 points right now and he's getting slightly less ice than he did last season...

We can seriously call this The Curious Case of Sam Gagner.

Also, we have 9 prospects at the 2017 World Junior Championships, which is apparently some kind of record.

The future is very bright and I'm loving it.

It was quite obvious how tired we were after a hard fought battle against a huge Washington team and the devils took advantage of that. I cant wait to play them again and beat their asses. i hope our guys remember that game for the next meeting.
