Jesus Christ, we collectively looked like a monkey trying to fuck a football out there for about 85% of that game last night. I literally don't even fucking know where to begin. I have no words. That was a fucking disgrace. Every Flyer fan at the game should've been issued a full refund and half off even for the Shark fans too.

What the fuck did this team do for their lengthy Christmas break? Lay on the couch, eating junk food and binge watching Netflix?

I am fucking embarrassed.

It's amazing how quickly we've gone from a 10 game winning streak to being in serious jeopardy of even making the playoffs at all.

And also, I understand we want to focus on our play instead of our opponent, but when they are outnumbering us on the boards 3 to 2 and 4 to 2 constantly and winning every battle, shouldn't we fucking do something to counteract that?

We were a step slow that entire game and there was too much thinking and not enough doing. Then we're passing the puck east/west the whole fucking game and just turning it over endlessly. We looked like a dysfunctional pee wee team out there for a large portion of that one. I won't use the referees as an excuse here, but is slashing no longer a penalty in the Nhl? I am just curious. Because last I checked, it was one of the more common fouls. Last I checked, when your stick is slashed out of your hand or broken, it's called slashing.

I'll add that the very single reason this game was even close on the scoreboard throughout was due to our goalies. Both of them played very well. I feel bad for both of them actually. 21 shots for and 34 shots against...Lol

My God, Provorov is so damn good right now. I can't believe he is only turning 20 in a dozen days. He is our best defenseman by a mile already. Just check out the last minute of the second period tonight. The sky is the limit for this kid. He is going to be absolutely unreal. I wouldn't be shocked if he's a perennial Norris Trophy candidate in just a couple seasons.

I think our boys got the message after the last game too. Over 50 shots on net tonight and fewer than 20 given up. The scoreboard isn't as kind to us, but we are dominating this game. Mase gave up a soft third goal, so I have to give him some fault for this.

We dominated the Ducks in all ends of the ice should've gotten 2 points from that game.

We need a guy that can play a little and be a fighter. We cant have Wayne Simmonds doing the dirty work after the team got called out by Hack. Weiss spot needs to be filled by that type of player.

Matt Read looked like he never skipped beat should've had an assist on our second goal tipping it and taking out the defense before Couts buried it. Couts skated much better in Anaheim than he did his first game back.

Huge game tomorrow night. I was encouraged to see that the Rangers are playing tonight also, but then realized that they are 7-0 in the second game of back to back scenarios this season. Absolutely unreal.

We definitely have our work cut out for us in this game tomorrow. This will be a serious challenge and it comes at a time when we desperately need two points.

I am excited for the team potential moving forward regardless. We have solid pairs of forwards that work well together on every single line and with Couturier and Read back, we have a lot of depth on the 3rd and 4th lines. Also, with Gudas back, the only true weaknesses remaining may be MacDonald and Weise. No more Ahl forwards and plenty of guys to use for special teams.

While we didn't get two points against the Ducks, we completely dominated them in their building. I take way more from that than with the end result.

Well, this division matchup tonight should be even more intriguing now after the Rangers got throttled by the Sabres 4-1 in what may have been their worst effort of the season. So, they will be looking to bounce back big time and so will we on home ice and desperately in search of two points.

I sure hope we dress our absolute best roster and quit benching some pretty decent players. The message has been sent and we definitely responded against the Ducks, just didn't get the bounces. 55 shots on net tied a franchise record high for a road game I believe.

JVR is a name that I've now seen linked to the Flyers by 2 sources, although neither necessarily credible, as a possible option to enhance the forward depth which is probably this team's biggest weakness. Toronto would be looking for youthful and immediate help on D in return. Assuming the Flyers don't completely implode, would you consider it? What would you be willing to give up in return? JVR is signed through 2018 at $4.25 mil/yr.

This just brings me back to when we traded him away. I believe it was JvR for Schenn straight-up. God, I knew that was a terrible trade and it definitely turned out to be as well. We tried to talk ourselves into it being a necessary move, yet we've wanted a big, goal scoring winger ever since. It seemed like we were trying to unload L. Schenn for a long time then too.

I say patience still. He has an attractive contract though. But IMO, this type of move should be made next year or the year after, not this year. Hold on to all these prospects, especially on defense. If they wait just a little longer they'll be in a position to make an Adam Larsson for Taylor Hall type deal. I think Lindblom can take a run at top 6 LW next year to fill the role you'd be asking JvR to fill. Sure he might not be as good, but you don't have to give up anything to add him, just need cap space.

Just let Sanheim, Morin, and Myers get to the NHL. Then teams will be throwing Taylor Hall type talent at them to pry one of them away. Rather than dealing someone like that now for JvR type talent.

That being said, if you could do something like Hagg or Lyon or Stolarz and a draft pick, I would consider it. I would even consider moving our 1st round pick this year as it's widely looked at as a weaker draft this year. I think I would start with Hagg and a 2nd which i'm sure isn't enough, and my top end deal would probably be Stolarz and a 1st.
