I think this is why the PP is clicking so well. They are over playing and paying so much attention to Ghost that the other guys are finding passing and shooting lanes.

Yes, I'm fine if they neutralize Ghost because G, Jake, Simmer and Schenner will do their thing. They are all scoring now too, so nobody is lacking confidence with their shot.

Well, the Rangers finally fall. Washington and Columbus keep winning though.

I wonder if a team has ever (before now) won 9 straight games and still been 5th or worse in their division. Doubtful...Lol

It's not a big deal because we're way ahead of teams like Tampa, Florida, Detroit, NJ, Carolina and so on for the wild card. However, we could end up playing the top seed in round one again if we can't pass anyone else in our division.

Long way to go though. I am looking forward to the division games to help settle this division.

If we keep playing the way we are playing we will be in the top three and have a better match up. When i say keep playing like we are playing im not referring to winning every game just the solid consistency of both offense and defense in which we have been playing.

We're definitely on the upswing. I'm not so sure about the Rangers. They have benched Lundqvist, for God's sake. Who would've ever thought that could happen? It can't be good for their team.

It really is truly amazing how we've been able to beat teams via low and high scoring one-goal affairs, the shootout, overtime, by two goals or via shutout all throughout this streak. Two different goaltenders each recording multiple wins also (one a rookie with almost zero Nhl experience) and players rotating in and out due to injuries as well.

It's all pretty damn impressive. I hope we're still hungry and can keep it rolling late tonight. I have no way of seeing or taping the game, so I will have to watch it probably days later.

Damn this team is hot.. Just keep it rolling. I thought the team may struggle with Streit out for a couple of weeks, mostly on the PP. Hakstol is getting his guys up and playing every game, which is something we have not seen in awhile.

Well, Ghost is still available on the top unit. Provorov and MDZ can run the second unit easily, although they will get very little time in comparison. I don't think we lose much without Streit when Gudas, Manning and MacDonald are healthy too.

We're barely making a dent here in the race for the top of the conference, but we've left 9th place and below in our dust. Tampa is 9 points back of us and they are struggling badly, as is everyone else below them. Not at all worried about the games in hand. Those teams would have to win a lot of games in a row to even approach us.

The Pens just lost Letang for a couple weeks, so that could be the beginning of the end of their streak. That is a massive loss for them. We shall see.

Not sure what to think of Columbus. They are spanking everyone and Bob is having a Vezina-worthy season. They are on track to have the best record and most points in the Nhl shortly. 18-5-4 is just filthy.
