This^^^^^Definitely not, but several guys have stepped up and taken on larger roles. PEB was a monster against McDavid and Provorov too was largely rock solid. Simmonds finally had a rough game statistically, but he has been leading the charge as of late. Mase obviously has been good for awhile now. Guys like Raffl, Lyubimov and the entire defense have often shined during this streak as well.
We've sort of developed a serious checking line without Couturier and they are doing work right now. The top line is dominant when it needs to be, Provorov is coming along quickly and Mase is making the timely stops we need him to make.
I think we definitely twisted and screwed with McDavid and the Oilers much in the way we have Crosby and the Pens in the not so distant past.
We were very tired in this game playing our 7th game in 11 days and still managed to play well defensively and get the win. I give our boys credit for playing as hard as they could tyo get this one they could've had easily mailed it in. Schenn looks much better handling the puck and skating with it that hat trick gave him a world of confidence.I have to give Hakstol credit for having Stolarz start this one. I thought for sure he would've played yesterday at home instead against a non-conference opponent.
How about that OT? We completely dominated it from beginning to end and look who gets the game winner? It's amazing what an infusion of confidence can do for a guy.
I think Detroit could easily miss the playoffs for the first time in a long time. They just don't have the firepower to do anything other than force OT. Yes, they have a lot of speed, but it's sort of wreckless too.
The power play probably should've scored for us, especially late in the first period. Not sure about a lot of the calls, but it turned out not to change the game much.
Stlolarz looked great yesterday he was like a sponge.Wow. This team is hot and just keeps winning. Solid goaltending by Stolarz. Next couple games may be tough, but can win them for sure.
This is the style of play i saw the last half of last season and if we keep that style of play which is defense first and score when you get the opportunity we will be tough going forward. We were also playing very well a couple of games prior to the winning streak.Idk, Colorado has been absolutely terrible, especially on home ice. They will be flying in from Toronto, much like us flying in from Detroit, and it will be their first home game in awhile. Dallas did play us tough, but they have won back to back games only once this entire season.
It's not right to pencil any game in as a win in the Nhl, but these two teams are struggling mightily and we should be able to pounce on them.
One thing about that Oilers game we scored two legit goals that didn't count because the whistle blew prematurely so we really had 8 goals that game. The different styles of winning have been amazing i am loving this team right now so much depth.Lots of things to like about the streak too. Can win a 6-5 goal frenzy like the Oilers game, can win a 1-0 game like the Wings game. Come backs like the 4-2 win against the Stars. Can rely 100% on the PP like the Stars game. Can rely 100% on goaltending like in the Panthers game.
They're winning in all sorts of ways and that's a good thing to see. And they're doing it without Couturier and Read which is crazy to me. And Ghost yesterday.
I hope you get a chance to keep posting these.

You don't realize how much Ghost does on that blue line until he is out......
You could see the big guns were missing him being up there!!!!

For sure. Streit can definitely run the top power play unit from the point. He is capable, but he is not electric and a game-changer like Ghost is. Our power play should've probably scored once or twice yesterday, even without Ghost. Just didn't quite get the breaks.
Leave it to Schenn to score three and not even win first star of the night. Pacioretty scored 4.
I thought it was pretty shitty that everyone was playing down Schenn's hat trick, just because he scored them on PP's.....who gives a shit, it was still a hat trick.
Fuggin bullshit!!!!!
FYI I love the new black jerseys
