Amazingly, the Rangers have sort of fallen back to the rest of the division. While it is truly nice to steal a game for a change, it seems like every team around us in the standings has played far fewer games and keeps winning too. It definitely is looking like the Metro could have five playoff teams though, which really increases our chances of getting in.

We did win the special teams battle in this one, but normally we're the team outshooting the other by around 20. I thought Voracek could've easily had a hat trick in this one, so it was some serious justice to see him score the OT winner late. Avoiding the shootout is always a major positive too.

I believe this is our first six game win streak since December of 2011 when we won seven straight to open up the month. Pretty unreal stuff, but we need to play better than we did last night. The bounces are just finally going our way a bit and Mase is playing very well.

Agreed. The Oilers have actually put up really strong special teams numbers too, so we can't just rely on Mase and our special teams to win us the game. It's going to take a strong effort at even strength in all zones too.

Difference between the first few weeks of Mase as compared to the last few weeks is 6" to a foot. That's how far he has moved further out of the net. Now the pucks that were going top corner on him are hitting his shoulder and that has helped him cut down on the shooter seeing more net. This is of course all related to him having more confidence.

And Mase needs a break in a big way. It was like two different guys in the net for the last two games, you can definitely see the fatigue in him!!!

But to come back from 2 goals down twice was awesome, gotta love the no quit in the guys!!!

I'd love to know what Manning said to McDavid, he was renting space in his head all night!!!

Alright, so for anyone who missed that one last night, you need to catch the replay somewhere (NhlReplays.com). Absolutely unreal game. Perhaps the best game I've seen all season long.

We established a few things during this contest.

PEB > McDavid

Connor McDavid can suck on my balls. He's a whiny bitch who gets catered to by the refs. Remind you of anyone else we know? Lol

These Flyers absolutely never give up and we love them for it. Winning it in regulation is sweeter because of the McDavid/Manning rivalry. Now the Oilers are in danger of essentially going from first to last in the playoff picture out west and I am loving that shit.

This win streak is something truly special. You could tell by the way Giroux was celebrating on the bench with teammates at the close of the game.

Keep riding that top line, Mase and the stellar play of our defense in the offensive zone.

And finally, the injury to Couturier has made us adapt and find depth that we didn't even necessarily know we had and we'll be a much better team for it upon his return.

I keep asking why we're giving Weise power play time on the second unit when it's difficult for him to even field a pass cleanly and Raffl is making power moves like that one look easy (with no power play time).
