This is pretty frustrating to watch. We're letting a team that may finish last in the conference walk into our building and dominate us. It's not over yet, but I expect to throw everything we have at them in the third period and nothing less.

You have to wonder where this effort was in the second period. We tie it up on the power play and Simmonds just about wins it late, instead hitting the post. Let's win this in OT and move on.

Lol I swear to God, Buffalo was playing for the shootout throughout the entire OT period...

They had very little offense, took zero chances and kept just passing it back to the goalie.

Nice to see it burn them. Giroux and Voracek both score in the shootout. Mase doesn't give up anything.

This team is going to give us all a heart attack if we play like this all season long...Lol

So, we have now overcome two 2 goal deficits, one 3 goal and one 4 goal this season already in just seven games played.

That begs the question. When are we going to wake up and start playing in the first period of games? We could be a dominant team if we just got things started earlier.

I'm a little confused as to why Nick Cousins took the first shot in the shootout, but it didn't matter as Buffalo didn't score and Giroux/Voracek made it look easy.

I mean all the guys we have that can dazzle and score...Nick Cousins!?

That and Neuvy appears to be slowly losing the race in the starting goalie competition we have going here. It's not entirely his fault, but that third goal he gave up was definitely very soft. We need to play here for both goalies and not just the last period or two either.

It's mindboggling how shitty they start. Why bother trying until you are down 2-4 goals?

Most of the world cup players have been good but Neuvy has regressed which blows my mind. Can't totally fault him on every goal but overall he doesn't seem confident and that third goal was brutal.

Jake and G have been good Schenn looked better when dropped to the third line. Maybe he needs to work his way back up that suspension killed him fucking still pisses me off BS...

It is getting a bit out of control. One goal scored total through seven 1st periods. We are chasing every single game and still managing to win some of them. It works for now, but it's not in the plans for long term success.

It's strange because we're sort of hanging both goalies out to dry, but Mase is handling it better right now. Neuvy keeps getting hammered before he finally gives up a soft one and we pull him. Then we have the inevitable comeback with Mase.

Really nice to see the power play score a few times, but we also gave up two of them while shorthanded.

Konecny getting his first is a treat. You could just see him getting closer and closer to it in the last several games. And when we really want offense out of a line, as in the third last night, Hakstol put Voracek and Konecny with Giroux. That's some serious playmaking ability on one line.

My buddy and I were sitting at the blue line to the left of the Sabres goalie at the end where the Flyers shot twice. For the first 2 periods it looked like 18 individuals out there. The only consistent line has been the 2nd. Read was on the top line. I have never seen us lose so many face-offs. Couts must have some type of either shoulder or wrist injury. He shied away from hitting and was looking to pass and not shoot. The place went nuts when Konectny scored. He and Jake were flying around all night. I am almost positive that this was the 1st game I have ever been to with the Flyers coming back and winning from a 3 goal deficit after 2. We decided the trainers shot have gotten the 1st star for removing the teams heads from there asses during the 2nd intermission.

At the very least, this team is going to be fun to watch. Absolutely never out of a game. It's going to come back to haunt them late in the season if they don't get it under control though, they'll be gassed.

Going just off memory, but I think Cousins was a force in the AHL in shoot outs. Sort of a shoot out specialist if you will. That's just going off my crappy memory though so who knows.

I <3 Konecny.

If we could play with any kind of consistency watch out rest of the NHL

I cant understand Schenn he looked great all preseason. Does missing three games really hurt a player that bad?

Glad to see you are still undefeated. Can you get there extra early next time so we can start playing in the 1st next time

I would rather play the 5-4 and 6-5 games than that crap low scoring hockey we have seen in the past.
