I'm not sold on team leadership either, but I think the biggest stat to look at is this:

Home Record: 21-11-4
Away Record: 12-20-4

Such a large disparity between a team's home and away records usually indicates that the team has some top-end talent hence the ability to win games at home where they are better able to control on ice match-ups, but also indicates that the team lacks depth and the ability to win games on the road where they can't control the match-ups and the lack of depth gets exposed.

Great post. I would also add to other teams 4th lines really have had no issues handling our top line. That is sad also. We need a little more size on the defensive side to.

I can't explain it some games they play solid and control things other games they shit the bed. D should be better next year and after hopefully they can add another scorer to help the offence in the draft. I'm not giving up on G he must be hurt doesn't seem to have that jump but he still produces on the PP so he's not a complete write off.

It is extremely baffling. It's like they know some games what to do and others their the freakin Keystone Kops lol. If that is truly Hakstols style then yea, he;s doing something right so I say it's the players when it's off.

You are right we are not that far off from a solid contending team, we shed some dead weight and bring in some better talent next year, I can see us seriously competing.
